Melissa McCarthy is in a gangster's paradise for Tammy. The funnywoman stars in the upcoming crime comedy and the new trailer for Tammy is hilarious.
McCarthy, 43, plays the title character in the slapstick film, a woman who turns to desperate measures after she falls on some desperate times. After the loss of her job and the dissolution of her marriage, she robs a fast food joint with the help of her hand disguised as a gun in a paper bag.
The new teaser for the flick opens with shots of McCarthy dancing to Coolio's 1995 jam "Gangsta's Paradise." After holding up the restaurant, she and her grandmother (Susan Sarandon) hit the pavement for a wild road trip.
Helmed by McCarthy's husband of nearly nine years, Ben Falcone (Bridesmaids), Tammy also stars Allison Janney, Sandra Oh, Dan Aykroyd and Toni Collette. Watch the trailer above and catch Tammy in theaters on July 4.
