Say you'll remember her, alright! As previously announced, Taylor Swift debuted the music video for her new single, "Wildest Dreams," starring Scott Eastwood, during the 2015 MTV VMAs pre-Show on Sunday, Aug. 30.
The accompanying video for the airy, Lana-Del-Rey-esque tune has a golden age of Hollywood vibe, and features a brunette Swift as a movie star. She is shooting a film with Eastwood on location in a sub-Saharan desert. The two repeatedly kiss for various love scenes of their flick, but the acting spills over into off-set encounters.
Eventually, the two costars end up falling for each other, which results in a complex, tortured relationship. The suggestive Joseph Kahn-directed video fits perfectly with Swift's lyrics from "Wildest Dreams," which are considered among the most sexually mature from 1989. Her lyrics include: "His hands are in my hair, his clothes are in my room / And his voice is a familiar sound, nothing lasts forever. He's so tall, and handsome as hell / He's so bad but he does it so well."
The clip features the two making out on set and taking their romance back to the bedroom, where they undress each other. While their on-screen romance appears complex, Eastwood gushed about the star this past week.
“What an amazing time working with @taylorswift,” Eastwood, 29, wrote on Instagram this week. “Not only is she a rockstar. But someone I am proud to call a friend. She is a great person and those are hard to find in your life. When you do… Hold tight.”
Swift, 25, who wrote the track with Max Martin and Shellback, opened up to Us Weekly last fall about the dreamy song. "'Wildest Dreams' is the best example of how my expectations have changed when it comes to love," Swift told Us at the time. "Now, when I meet someone and there's chemistry, my first thoughts are 'When this ends, I hope you'll remember me well.'" (The singer has been dating Scottish DJ Calvin Harris since April.)
