Goodbyes are tough! Kailyn Lowry had to bid farewell to her hubby, Javi Marroquin, for six months in the Monday, April 25, episode of MTV’s Teen Mom 2. Meanwhile, Jenelle Evans and Nathan Griffith got into a heated argument over their current custody situation and the charges pressed against her. Chelsea Houska faced legal issues of her own regarding child support from her ex, while Leah Messer and Corey Simms dealt with their daughter Ali’s progressing medical condition.
Jenelle Confronts Nathan
Baby daddy drama! Jenelle wanted one thing from Nathan — to get him to drop the assault charges, so she can participate in a surgical tech program.
Nathan revealed he hasn’t seen his son in seven to eight weeks, and all he wants to do is bring him some Christmas presents. The conversation started off rocky when Nathan expected Jenelle to bring Kaiser with her for the visit, but she showed up alone. Of course, Jenelle’s current boyfriend, David Eason, was not happy about the meeting. He was concerned about Nathan disrespecting his lady, so he decided to wait in the car while the two had their awkward meeting.
“It doesn’t matter if he’s the father of your child or not — to me it’s like a slap in the face that you would even want to meet up with him and talk to him,” David said to Jenelle before the meeting.
It turned out Nathan isn’t the biggest fan of David, who has been taking care of his child with Jenelle over the past few weeks. Nathan looked into David’s record and found a long list of charges against him, including domestic violence.
“Nothing you say is adding up. You live with a felon — I don’t,” Nathan said to his ex. Yikes.
The two settled on figuring out how to meet both of their needs. Yeah, let’s see how long this temporary peace will last for them.
Leah and Corey Are Headed Back to Court
Tensions were high! Things got uncomfortable between Leah and Corey when — days after Leah received paperwork about her upcoming court date to reconsider the couple’s custody arrangements — the parents headed to Columbus to take Ali to her check up. During the appointment, the couple had to meet with a social worker about their potential custody arrangement changes before actually discussing the court date with each other privately.
“I have my s–t together. There is no reason whatsoever that my children can’t be with me Thursday through Sunday,” Leah said to her cousin on the phone.
Chelsea Is Ready for More Kids
“Oh, my god — I’m getting f–kng married,” Chelsea excitedly said to her friend. The reality TV star had been researching decorations and flowers to prepare for her big day, and she was pumped that Cole DeBoer will be a supportive father figure for her daughter, Aubree, and the future children they plan on having after they get married.
However, not everything was going well for Chelsea. She was embroiled in a legal battle of her own about changing the child support plan she has with her ex-husband, Adam Lind. She expressed disappointment with the way he treats their daughter, and Chelsea just wanted him to own up to his child.
“You can be the biggest piece of s–t [when] you wanna be. You’re only being a d–k to her,” Chelsea said to a friend about the way Adam treats Aubree. Adam needed to get himself together because Cole was really outshining him in the daddy department.
Kailyn Is a Single Mom — Temporarily
See you later! Javi headed out to be deployed for six months, and the entire family got very emotional in the days leading up to his departure.
“I’m going to save the world, babe,” Javi said to his wife before he left.
After throwing him an emotional going-away party and making him a goodbye video, Kailyn opened up with a positive outlook about their separation.
“I hope that absence makes the heart grow fonder,” Kailyn said. The couple hit a few bumps in the road after Kailyn’s miscarriage, so perhaps the space can be seen as a positive thing. Let’s hope so for their kids’ sake because Isaac was really taking his dad’s deployment hard.
