We do! Maci Bookout got married on the Monday, November 28, season finale of MTV’s Teen Mom OG, and Catelynn Lowell evaluated her first year of marriage to Tyler Baltierra. Amber Portwood, too, faced some relationship challenges, as she and Matt Baier worked on their public perception, both individually and together. Even Farrah Abraham and Simon Saran spent some quality time together (as “friends” or whatever). How did all of that go? Read on …
Maci Gets Married!
Maci got hitched! Bentley, Jade and Maverick were her ring bearers, of course, and everyone in the chapel was nervous, excited and happy all at once. Even Bentley’s dad, Ryan Edwards, was there. As Bentley stood shyly at the altar, Maci gave him a wink, proving she’s always a mom first.
They read their own vows, which were full of jokes, interjections and tears. After that, there was a reception where Maci and her new husband, Taylor McKinney, danced after he revealed that he had reached out to her favorite group, the Josh Abbott Band, to record a special performance for them.
“How did you talk them into this?” she whispered as they danced.
“I know some people,” said Taylor in front of, you know, a bunch of cameras, producers and guests. That’s a pretty great way to use connections!
Catelynn Gets to Relax!
Speaking of connections made on the show, Catelynn and Tyler were excited to head to Maci’s wedding because it was a fun trip where they could relax and have fun after a stressful few months. Unfortunately, right before they left, Tyler’s dad, Butch Baltierra, went to jail for missing a parole meeting after spending a whole year free.
They made the best of it, anyway, reminiscing about their own wedding as they got ready in their hotel room, and agreeing that their wedding night and first year of marriage had been great.
Amber Gets a Makeover!
Amber’s big “mommy makeover” surgeries were sneaking up on her, so she spent her last few pre-op days with daughter Leah. The cover photo for Matt’s rumor-busting book was being shot the night before surgery, and she was annoyed that she wasn’t getting photographed after she got her new body, but what can you do?
“I’m not trying to look like Farrah or anybody like that,” she said to a producer. Uh, shade? Is that shade? We think so. (Farrah didn’t appear to be at Maci’s wedding later, either, so double shade? We think so!)
Farrah Gets Help!
Farrah and mom Debra Danielson finally decided to go to therapy together, and before they did, Farrah went to meet Debra’s new boyfriend, David. Progress! Weirdly, he brought up how mean Farrah is to Debra on Teen Mom, which doesn’t seem like a great way to get to know someone. Not progress!
“You’re bringing up a lot of things that will just continue to upset me,” Farrah said as he started talking about the engagement ring debacle. (Seriously, who does this when meeting their girlfriend’s kid?!) Farrah started to cry and got up from the table, so David hugged her and whispered that he knew that she is a “great person.” Don’t ask Us what this scene was about. We have no idea either.
Oh, it was about the next scene! They went to therapy, and Farrah unloaded about the dinner encounter. She was told that yeah, David’s timing was bad, but her behavior leading up to it was bad too. She actually took that news well, so maybe there was progress after all.
