Teresa Giudice may have believed her Real Housewives of New Jersey vacation to Napa Valley, Calif., with her husband Joe was a good bonding experience, but her hubby apparently thought otherwise.
Celebrating Caroline Manzo's 50th birthday during an elaborate al fresco dinner with the Gorga, Wakile and Manzo families, Teresa, 40, and Joe Giudice, 42, couldn't help but cause a scene midway through the meal.
Getting up to take a call he told Teresa was for "work," Joe spoke in hushed tones to the person on the other side and when Teresa approached, he insulted her to the caller. "Here she comes, my bitch wife. She's such a c—," he sniped. "I'm going to hang up."
When Teresa confronted her husband, Joe blew her off and tried to cover his tracks by speaking Italian to the "worker," whom he claimed did not speak English.
Largely oblivious to Joe's insults, Teresa went about her business as usual and pulled her husband out of sight into the vineyard for. . . a makeout session! "It makes sense, because Caroline was the focus and Teresa needed attention on herself so why not have sex in the grapes?" Jacqueline Laurita snapped as Teresa tried to proposition Joe minutes after he insulted her.
When the couple returned to the dinner table, even small talk became hard to come by. Admitted Manzo in an aside on Sunday's show: "I'm not going to go into Teresa's marriage, but to be honest, I feel very bad for her."
Though Teresa has largely turned the other cheek when it comes to Joe's belittling, one Giudice friend tells Us Weekly she may not be so understanding of his latest remarks: "This may finally put her over the edge to split with him."
