Teresa Giudice Wants a "Fresh Start" After Bankruptcy Auction

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice admits it hasn't been easy filing for bankruptcy or listing the contents of her mansion for auction.
"It's not a fun or an easy process," blogs the Bravo reality star, 38. "If you've ever been unfortunate enough to be involved in a legal situation, you know it's a lot of back and forth between both sides. Right now, our bankruptcy trustee is trying to get an auction going, and our lawyer is objecting it. Every day, there are new tactics used, stories circulated, and details 'leaked' to the press, but it's all part of the legal wrangling. All I can do is rise above it, keep my head high, and know that at the end of the day, I have my family, my health, and I'm in God's hands. Nothing else matters, certainly not a lamp."

Giudice and her husband, Joe, filed for bankruptcy in October 2009 when faced with $11 million in debt from failed real estate ventures. Still, the last episode of the show showed him celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary by buying her a diamond and flying her around in a private helicopter.
"We worked so hard for so many years and it was heartbreaking to file, and not something we took lightly. Of course you can't sit in your bed and just cry all day, so we moved forward, got new jobs, and are working hard once again. The point is to get a fresh start so you can move forward," she blogs.
Giudice also takes a stab at co-star Danielle Staub, who she implies spread a rumor about her demanding money to show up at a charity event.

"Completely false," she writes. "I've never heard of the shelter that's complaining about me, but they called the person who books me in clubs and he told them he doesn't do charity, and to contact me directly. It's very easy to get a hold of me at my website, and I do check every email. I can't help every single charity that asks of course, but I do as I many as I can. I have no idea why this charity would try and bash me in the press, unless they were looking for press, which they obviously got. I did notice that Danielle was in attendance at this particular event…. Coincidence? Hmmm…."

Giudice goes on to point out that she's "actively involved in Project Ladybug, but also [charities to benefit research for] pancreatic cancer, autism, AID FOR AIDS International, the Red Cross, and Clean the World. I'm giving up Labor Day weekend with my kids to appear in My Big Gay Italian Wedding for charity for four days in a row. And I'm so honored and happy to do it."

70As a small business owner, my only concern is the people that will lose their businesses because of Teresa and her husband. Disgraceful! She has no shame. So narcissistic!
Teresa is a strong lady who has her priorities straight.Unfortunately, the economy has effectived her husband's business like so many other businesses. Hopefully she will be able to keep her home as it is her primary residence. She IS a good and loving mother to her girls, and remember bravo edit's what they show.
OMG You are such a strongly blessed woman. You keep it real, for those that can't cope need to kick & sling mud to make themselves seem mor worthy of a praise any way they can get one. I had a feeling Danielle was telling the truth when she told Teresa that she knew she had filed for divorce (i meant bankruptcy). I liked Teresa a little at first but she is very ignorant. First of all, I canâ??t believe how the other women are on her side because Teresa mad an attempt to speak to Danielle only to start something, bottom line. Danielle was minding her own business and Jacqueline edged Teresa on that night. Teresa always says she is classy but she really has no class and is very ghetto, more so than Danielle. Teresaâ??s house looks terrible with all that flashy stuff, which starts at the door. Jeff was on, â??watch what happensâ?? and he said Teresaâ??s house was not his taste. Lol Iâ??m glad Teresa has to sell all that stuff. Her husband (Joe) seems cool though. Note to Teresa: Spend more time looking at the finances instead of worrying about Danielle.

Gianna, maybe you haven't been watching but Jacqueline does a WONDERFUL job parenting... how Ashley turned out the way she is. I'm unsure, but Jacquelines parenting skills are NOT to blame. Compare her to Lynne from OC. Compare her to DANIELLE, who drags her drama and men all around in front of her young daughters. Think back to the first season when things were getting heated before the table flip and all of the ADULTS made the decision to have someone watch the kids in another room and Danielle made her daughters stay. Maybe it was out of fear? But not good parenting at all. She is not a good person, but even if the majority of the RHONJ audience dislikes her, her main focus should be her children. Her daughters are adorable and seem to be embarassed of her at times. I hope she can learn to be a better mother before its too late. Maybe the other women are into drama also but their FIRST and MAIN priority is their family. Danielle could take a lesson from them
Why was Teresa mocking living above the Pizza parlor? THe apartments were nice apartments and many people who are homeless, starving with no family would kill to live in an apartment with a bed, food and warmth. Teresa has some nerve. I hope she ends up in her mother's basement with her 4 brats broke husband. She deserves it. Where are her "great friends" to help her with her finances?
Im surprised Teresa isnt blaming Danielle for her bankruptcy like she does for everything else. I doubt Danielle had nothing to do with that story about Teresa and the charity event. Teresa is in need of money so it is easy to believe she would ask for money to do an event but she blames Danielle to make herself look and feel better. I have no respect for Jacqueline or Teresa. Teresa should be worrying about her financial situation instead of picking a fight with Danielle and Jacqueline should worry about her brat daughter not turning to drugs or getting pregnant because she has no direction and a mother who's only interest is gossiping about Danielle and Kim G.

As much as I actually like Teresa, there's nobody to blame for their financial situation but themselves. Most of these comments are so ugly but I understand where they are coming from for the most part... however anybody that says, "see she's stupid, Danielle is the sane one" or anything at all positive about Danielle is not thinking with their RIGHT mind. That woman is a maniac. A large group of people do not hate somebody because "its the popular thing to do" they do it because the woman is a complete lunatic. She plays games nicely though, I'll give her that... its funny however how EVERYBODY eventually leaves her and stops being her friend. Some of you obviously havent picked up on that pattern... and my heart hurt for her daughter Jillian in the last episode. It's evident in so many episodes how embarrassed her children are :( How she made such cute daughters I'll never know! Unless they get it from their father.... who by the way looked HIGHLY uncomfortable everytime Danielle kept trying to hug him in the last episode.
What really bothers me about this woman is that she spent CASH on the show to act like she was rolling in dough, but BEHIND the cameras, she was racking up all kinds of credit card debt. Then she gets diamonds and a helicopter ride for her anniversary! HOW is she spending more money that she clearly doesn't have?! TEAM DANIELLE! At least she's honest!

If you've ever run into financial trouble due to circumstances beyond your control you'd know that what they're going thru is awful and you wouldn't judge. They're nice people, I hope the best for them and their beautiful children.
