Exclusive: "Terrified" Bristol Had to "Stop and Breathe" at DWTS Rehearsals

"Bristol is terrified," a source tells Us Weekly of Bristol Palin, 19, who's about to hoof it on Dancing with the Stars (debuting September 20 on ABC). The mom -- fresh off her broken engagement with Levi Johnston, dad of son Tripp, 20 months -- "isn't naturally outgoing," adds the insider, "and doesn't have any performing background."

Palin's partner, Mark Ballas, 24, even had to quell her anxiety. "Mark told her, 'Just stop and breathe,' in rehearsal, because she was so stiff," continues the source.

But Ballas was in need of a chill pill too. The show alum, whose partner Shannen Doherty was booted from DWTS in the second week last season, "was bummed at first. He was hoping for someone more dance-inclined," adds the source. "But he's happy now, because he realized how much press they'll get!"
And Palin's biggest hurdle may not be the dance steps but the daring outfits. "My clothes will be the most conservative of everyone's," Palin tells Us. "That's how I am, and that's how I want to dress. But it'll be good -- and the rhinestones and spray tans. That'll be fun!"

Bristol DEMANDED $14,000 plus first class costs for an appearance at a home for unwed teens without family support. That is not giving back that is taking TAKING TAKING until the well is dry. With Bristol already pulling in $100,000's for her tabloid covers & exclusives over her baby drama she should be ashamed of shelling her situation for cash but to do so at the disadvantage of others is repulsive. Bristol says she drove 5 days straight to get from Alaska to L.A. for Dancing with her baby in the truck. What in the h e l l kind of representation of good parenting is this. That baby was strapped in a car no less then 9 hours a day. Since they hit California Bristol has been seen partying it up all over town with Tweet photos backing up she is in bars underaged while her son is left by himself with a babysitter. Bristol gets $1,700 a month for childsupport. Bristol has her own lobbying, politicl consulting business. She has a condo bought with who knows who money, she has a clear title and she has a brand new truck. For Bristol to be using her unwed, single teen parent situation to grab fame is repulsive. ABC is helping this wannabe exploit young women for her own agenda & gains. Horrible role model. Bad person. Not a star for the right reasons.
Good luck to Bristol. It would be better suited to have taller and more buff male dancers to pair with the ladies, rather than Ballas and Hough!
She's such a sweet girl. I really hope she does well. It's refreshing that even those mistakes were made, she is out there speaking to other kids about teen pregnancy. Way to go, Bristol!
