The Monday, July 25, episode (thankfully) picked up exactly where viewers left off. Within 10 minutes, the season 12 Bachelorette had tearfully sent her Texan lover, Luke Pell, home. The tough former soldier bemused that he was ready to marry Fletcher and couldn’t comprehend how she didn’t feel the same.

After that emotional drama, the three remaining suitors — Jordan Rodgers, Robby Hayes and Chase McNary — jetted off to balmy Thailand. Fletcher, of course, worried she’d made a mistake but eagerly headed into her fantasy suite dates.

Two fantasies were fulfilled, but one completely blew up. Rodgers and Hayes each shared romantic days filled with marketplace snacking, wild monkeys and hidden temples with their girlfriend. But after McNary and Fletcher’s glorious day spent frolicking in the ocean, he was blindsided when the Bachelorette sent him home after initially inviting him back to the fantasy suite.

McNary confessed his love, but Fletcher panicked and unexpectedly said goodbye. He predictably reacted angrily, made some hurtful remarks and zoomed off with a beer in hand, but redeemed himself when he showed up at the rose ceremony to wish Fletcher the best.
