The Martian won the award for Best Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy at the 2016 Golden Globe Awards Sunday, January 10.
The film, which stars Matt Damon, beat out The Big Short (which was nominated for a total of four Golden Globes), Joy, Spy and Trainwreck.
The 73rd annual Golden Globe Awards were held at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, and the show was hosted for the fourth time by Ricky Gervais.
