That's what they said!
Steve Carell's last episode as a series regular on The Office will be the show's May 19 season finale. But according to the Hollywood Reporter, actors Ray Romano, Catherine Tate (of Doctor Who) and James Spader will all appear on the hour-long show as potential candidates as regional manager of Dunder Mifflin-- to be vacated with the departure of Carell's character, Michael Scott.
Ricky Gervais, who played a role parallel to Carell's in the original British version of the show, will also appear in the episode, along with Will Arnett.
Carell told UsMagazine.com in June 2010: "I am excited (to leave the show)- just so I can spend more time with my family." The 48-year-old star and his wife Nancy, a 44-year old actress, have two kids: Elizabeth Anne, 9, and John, 6.
