The Situation Storms Off DWTS Set Over Bad Scores

A sad Situation.

After scoring the lowest on Monday's Dancing With the Stars, Mike Sorrentino was later spotted sulking in the parking lot, smoking a cigarette and shaking his head while a friend tried to console him.

Judge Bruno Tonioli called his tango "a terrible mess"; Carrie Ann Inaba said it was a "rough ride."

"I don't know what their deal was. I really don't know," Sorrentino, 27, later told UsMagazine.com. "I was upset. I actually stormed off upset because I tried so hard. I really did. I changed my haircut, I don't know."

He said he was impressed he and partner Karina Smirnoff pulled off the lifts.

"Once I landed all those lifts and the judges were trashing me? I'll be honest with you, it was in one ear and out the other," he added. "In the back of my head, I knew those lifts were extremely hard. I tried my best, and if they didn't see it and wanted to be negative, so be it."

Added Smirnoff, 32, "Honestly, I think he showed quite a lot of improvement last week. I think we can take it as a compliment. They wanted to see more, and we appreciate their faith in us, but sometimes, come on, throw us a bone!"

She said she hopes Monday's show has a "reverse effect, where the judges are really mean and the fans really stand behind us, because we really want to make it through. We have so many great ideas for next week. I think we're going to be okay, though, regardless."

Said The Situation, "I really did try my best and hopefully the viewers saw that. I really put in the work and practiced, and I hope they put us through to the next week because I tried so hard."

All you abs and titty flexing got you nowhere with the judges. Try developing something like personality and a mind. You tried really hard and even chaned your haircut. OH I bet that was hard.

Poor Baby. All his abs and titty flexing got him nowhere with the judges. Try developing something else Situation like a personality and a mind.

What a poor sport he is!!!

  • October 12, 2010 - 11:15pm Guadalupe Escareno

honestly he did not even try that hard. All he did was walk around the dance floor and do the lifts. It was pathetic....I hope he gets voted off tonight!

To Elaine Switzman-Sadana: You are so right!!!! Brooke needs to go! She is the worst host ever! She screws up her lines and then stands there like an idiot. She isn't beautiful and has the personality of a clump of dirt. Too bad the viewers can't vote her off!

With all these comments only one stands out and it has nothing to do with the dancing. Brooke needs to go! She is the worst host I have ever had to listen to during a show. No personality; limited vocabulary; can't speak clearly; and is always at a loss for words. Boring to listen to as she can't find the words 9 out of 10 times to express the views from either the audience or judges. It is a good thing that there is another host to pick up her slack. I wish Samantha would come back. The quality of the show is not the same without her. She was not only beautiful but was had sharp wit and intelligence. Brook stands and thinks her pretty gown and accessories make up for her lack of gab! So very very bland. I really don't know why they chose her; there are many more hosts who would do a better job and add some spark which is missing since Samanatha left.

Michael Bolton and now "the situation" are both crying because they can't dance and the judges have noticed. Nobody is saying that they aren't trying...they are competing. So, with that..you get judged. I guess these stars want things handed to them on a plate. Michael Bolton, see what a role model you are?? You could not and did not dance very well and got a score accordingly. Then, they let you sing to placate you and your ego. Now, what will they do to help another bruised ego with his emotional problem??? Walk out and make the rest of the dancers happy!! Oh, the audience too....

Maybe he finally discovered he had to do more than just flash his abs this time. Maybe he discovered that dancing is actually WORK. Oh, right...work...not his specialty.

Unfortunately, the public voting is based more on popularity than it is on performance. 'The Situation' should've followed Michael Bolton out the door as he's not at all a dancer, which has been proven week after week. Margaret Cho, who was voted off last week, was ever so much better than he is and should've stayed but he has a teeny bopper fan base (which is weird because he is like 34yrs old)who just keep voting for him because he's 'in' right now. Bristol Palin isn't the best but she is improving and at least has some ability. 'The Situation' has nothing going for him except his abs (which SUCK to me), which have nothing to do with dancing. I think the voting mechanism should be set up so that people vote by awarding an order number to each of the dancers (i.e., favorite #1, 2nd favorite #2, etc.), with each person being allowed to vote only once so the ballot box can't be stuffed, so to speak, in anyone's favor the way it is now. At least then it might be a bit more fair, perhaps giving the dancers a better chance to advance (or not) based more on what they're actually doing on the dance floor than on their popularity. It's frustrating, sometimes sad, to see a dancer with ability voted off in favor of someone with none just because people either don't know who they are or, for whatever personal reason, don't like them. Also, there should be no elimination at all the first week. The dancers really need to be given more time to learn and get used to performing in the spotlight before they're judged. One dance is not enough for that, not for dancing amateurs

He's a jerkoff. This show has totally gone to his head. Watch the Jersey Shore and you'll see. He is a creep, slapped snookie across the face and as much as I am not a fan of Angelina, he brought her self esteem down so low. Everyone else keeps this jerk around, it's ridiculous. I wish Pauly or Vinny would have been on the show.

Yes those scores were awful. But he is popular and people like his personality. My mom who has never even seen a second of Jersey Shore (nor have I) even likes him and voted for him. I never ever would watch Jersey Shore- but he has charisma and will stay on for that reason alone. But he won't win- I am hoping Audrina or Jennifer wins

He seems like a likeable guy, but he's very immature. He has a name, he needs to use it. This could be an opportunity to expand and he needs to mature. He did better, but he has to realize he is not a great dancer. But I don't think he is a bad guy at all, just an unknown trying to make it in an unreal world. But it is time to mature a little. I like him.

Send his sniveling b.i.t.c.h. attitude home already. He is far from being any kind of star and he dances like someone with two left feet and both of them wearing cement blocks. And Karina will say anything she can to keep herself on as long as possible. Once he is eliminated she stops getting the huge pay check for staying week after week. Eliminate this cry baby and send him back to his equally disgusting crew on the Shore.

  • October 12, 2010 - 3:22pm Cindy McCalpine Maupin

He was awful! All he soes is walk through the steps. What did he expect...high scores for strolling? I think his 15 minutes of fame are about over.

  • October 12, 2010 - 2:55pm Jackie Lynn Peters

I agree with you Kerry Dean. She does this on the Ppl mag website too. I'm sick of it.

  • October 12, 2010 - 2:45pm Kerry Dean

@Turner Mamie - go shill your products somewhere else, please. How stupid do you think we are? It's not "a little off topic"; what it is is completely rude and inappropriate.

  • October 12, 2010 - 2:33pm Kathy Wright Stugelmeyer

Ok you danced badly therefore you got bad scores, get over it already, how old are you, two, could be as you act like it! Geez grow up!

  • October 12, 2010 - 2:29pm Danielle Izzo
