“You are going to see a love interest come in Episode 5 in Bonnie’s flash forward,” the singer-actress, 26, tells Us. “We get to see who she basically ends up with, which is very cool. And then you see a current, modern potential love interest coming this season also.”

Bonnie, who previously romanced Jeremy Gilbert (Steven R. McQueen), has more than just love on her mind though. On Thursday’s episode, entitled “Age of Innocence,” she, Damon (Ian Somerhalder), and Alaric (Matthew Davis) go on a road trip to capture a man named Oscar, who will be used as leverage to save Caroline (Candice Accola). Lily, played by Annie Wersching, is holding the perky blonde bloodsucker hostage.

“Alaric has his reason for meeting Oscar and Damon has his. And I’m just trying to babysit them both! But it actually takes a violent turn,” Graham teases. “It’s a crazy episode and a lot goes down.”

And a lot already has. As TVD fanatics know, Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) can only return (to Damon’s arms!) after Bonnie dies. (Dobrev left the series after Season 6.)

“I would like [Bonnie] to stay alive!” Graham says. “But if she dies I hope she dies doing something that she really believes in.”
