‘This Is Us’ Fans Are Convinced That Miguel Is Up to No Good — and They’re Letting Him Know on Twitter

Miguel, it’s not that we don’t love you — but Jack and Rebecca, we love a whole, whole lot. Our favorite fly in the This Is Us ointment, Miguel (Jon Huertas) grabbed extra time in the spotlight during the Tuesday, November 1, episode, as he was promoted at work (and after already having been revealed to be Rebecca’s future husband).

But if Twitter is any indication, fans may need a little sweet-talking. Here’s why:

The Bro Code

As a sage of bar wisdom, Miguel brings the heat — but to marry a best friend’s wife, even if he is no longer alive? Seems it could be a violation of the Bro Code. We don’t know yet when Miguel married Rebecca (Mandy Moore), and if Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) was still in the picture, but the marriage clearly happened at some point.

Brad and Jen Rule

Jack and Rebecca = Brad and Jen. They are the OG of couples. And as much as people may like Angelina Jolie, it’s hard not to root for Jen (a.k.a. Jack). So even though Miguel and Rebecca may have genuine love for each other, the fans appear to have made their choice and are sticking to it.

He’s Too Together

With a warts-and-all show title like This Is Us, fans might appreciate a character who is a little less competitive and perhaps more, well, of an underachiever, just like all of Us. They want a friend, not another person to assess.
