‘Toddlers and Tiaras’ Mom Cries During Daughter’s Bizarre Monkey Routine in Premiere Sneak Peek

Stop monkeying around? A jungle-themed performance is a bit too much for one mom to handle in Toddlers and Tiaras season 7 premiere on Wednesday, August 24, as seen in Us Weekly‘s exclusive sneak peek.

The TLC series’ preview clip shows pageant coach Cambrie Littlefield introducing her pal Dallas Lovato to the group of girls and their moms. Lovato, 28, is an acting coach and has previously had roles on Wizards of Waverly Place and Sonny With a Chance, not to mention that she’s Demi Lovato‘s sister.

“I brought in my friend Dallas Lovato to help them get into character with the animal they’re portraying at the safari pageant,” Littlefield tells the camera. “She’s worked with a lot of kids who have done big things on major television shows, and pageants are a stepping stone to those things.”

Lovato tells the group, “My sister Demi and I, what we’re able to do now in our lives and with our businesses — a lot of that stems from pageants.”

She asks one 4-year-old girl, Lilly, to portray a “happy monkey,” and Lilly’s rendition inexplicably brings her mom, Amber, to tears.

“Cambrie’s done an amazing job with bringing Dallas Lovato — she’s a star,” Amber says to the camera. “I mean, that’s not an opportunity that we get all the time.”

The emotional mom adds about her little monkey-impersonating bundle of joy, “I’m just so proud of her.”

Watch the odd clip in the video above. Toddlers and Tiaras returns to TLC Wednesday, August 24, at 9 p.m. ET.
