Tyra Banks is ditching her trademark weaves for the season 5 premiere of her CW talk show, airing Sept. 8. She will reveal her "natural hair."

"This season on The Tyra Show we're taking it to the next level and getting more real than ever before by encouraging women everywhere to own and rock what they've got and be proud!" she says in a press released. "For the season 5 premiere, I will be doing just that - no fake hair, I'm rocking my REAL hair. This will all be going down on September 8, 2009, which we're declaring National Real Hair Day! We welcome everyone to go natural with me!"

Yes, her real hair is gorgeous. Had you watched the show, you would have seen her real hair without a doubt, not the picture above. Relaxer is her choice. We do what we wish to our hair because it is "our" hair and others do what they wish to do to their own hair. We have no more right to tell someone to wear natural hair than they do to tell us to wear permed hair. She said she would reveal her "real" hair not her natural state hair. Go Tyra.Why must she get rid of the relaxer. Under who's law? I've had natural and permed, that's my choice to change up when I feel. It doesn't make me ashamed. All the jealousy over Tyra's hair, please stop. Yes, jealousy. Own it.
