It's 1966, and a boat-based radio station is broadcasting rock 'n' roll off the U.K. coast -- until the government tries to stop the illegal 24/7 broadcast. While director Richard Curtis' enjoyable, music-filled ensemble comedy stars Philip Seymour Hoffman and hottie Tom Sturridge, it's as choppy as the sea. Still, watch for the touching scene when Sturridge rescues a drowning DJ to Cat Stevens' "Father and Son."

Just to say as the stations were broadcasting in international waters outside British jurisdiction, they were therefore not illegal.
