Will you be my…backstabber? In the Monday, November 21, episode of Vanderpump Rules, Katie Maloney asked her closest girlfriends to join her bridal party. But the bride-to-be suddenly began questioning her bridesmaids’ loyalty after she spotted Scheana Shay hanging out with her nemesis, Lala Kent.
Katie Pops the Question
Katie planned a big “proposal” for her bridesmaids. She handed Scheana, Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute tins with balloons and slips of paper that read, “Now that Tom has ‘popped’ the question, it’s my turn.”
The ladies burst their balloons and found their formal invitations to join Katie’s bridal party in a flurry of confetti. As the group celebrated, tear-filled clips of the crew’s tumultuous ups and downs flashed across the screen.
“A year ago, Katie wouldn’t even respond to a text, and now she’s asking me to be a bridesmaid,” Stassi reflected.
The women couldn’t help but notice that Ariana Madix wasn’t a part of Katie’s wedding party, and Katie explained that she didn’t ask Ariana to be a bridesmaid because they weren’t close anymore (even though she didn’t hesitate to ask Brittany Cartwright, her friend of only a year).
“I already knew that I was not going to ask Ariana to be a bridesmaid,” Katie coolly revealed to cameras. “Her defending Lala’s indefensible behavior recently didn’t improve the likelihood that I would ask her anyway.”
Schwartz’s Secret Sauce
Brittany told the girls that her boyfriend, Jax Taylor, finally apologized for spreading that scandalous sex rumor about her and Kristen. Stassi suggested that Brittany should jot down Jax’s credit card number and buy herself something special for putting up with him.
“I don’t even look at Jax anymore like an ex-boyfriend,” Stassi insisted. “I look at him as, like, an ape that has a really cool girlfriend.”
Luckily Katie’s fiancé, Tom Schwartz, was able to help dish out some payback. Schwartz offered to cook Jax and Tom Sandoval a fancy dinner to show his “appreciation” for his groomsmen. He whipped up a full meal complete with shrimp cocktail, mashed potatoes, broccoli, jalapeño cream corn and a hearty slab of spicy meat.
As the trio chowed down, Tom and Jax began reminiscing on all the torture they put Schwartz through. They joked about unplugging Schwartz’s air mattress while he was asleep and wiggling their bare butts in his face.
But it was Schwartz who got the last laugh. After every bite was eaten, Schwartz revealed that the boys’ steak was made with his own “special” spice: Before cooking the lavish dinner, Schwartz had put the steak and shrimp between his butt cheeks after running three miles without showering, and he handed Tom and Jax photo evidence to prove it.
“I honestly feel a f–king pube in my f–king throat!” Tom Sandoval panicked, pacing back and forth.
Jax, on the other hand, confessed he actually liked his steak. Womp, womp.
Three Strikes and James Is…Not Out?
“Hi, troublemaker,” Lala greeted James Kennedy as he walked into Sur. “Are you fired yet?”
James told Lala he still hadn’t spoken to Sur boss Lisa Vanderpump about his most recent intoxicated altercation, but he wasn’t too worried.
“People keep wondering how many strikes I get until I actually get in trouble, but in London we don’t have baseball, so I don’t know how many strikes I get,” James smugly stated. “But what I do know is that I’m still working at Sur and PUMP, so you can all go f–k yourselves and deal with it.”
Lisa finally sat James down and told him that his drunken antics were hurting business. James calmly explained that people were just hating on the fact that he’s “winning right now,” and they don’t like to see him succeed. Lisa admitted that she doesn’t trust James, but she gave him another chance anyway, much to the staff’s dismay.
“Lisa, for the love of God, will you please just get rid of this little f–king idiot,” Jax pleaded to the cameras.
Team Katie vs. Team Lala
Lala confessed to James that she wanted to make amends with her coworkers, and acknowledged that she owed Katie an apology for calling her fat. But at the end of the day, she said she’s “not trying to be this bitch’s friend.”
So Lala shifted her focus to Scheana. Lala apologized to Scheana for being a bully, but Scheana said she wouldn’t accept the apology until Lala worked out her differences with Katie.
However, Katie made it very clear that she had no interest in being friends with a “whore” and told Lala that she’d never get over the fact that her lifestyle was bankrolled by a “married man.”
Lala defended her mystery relationship: “I don’t have a married boyfriend.”
Just when Katie’s annoyance with Lala reached an all-time high, the bride-to-be was shocked to find Scheana acting buddy-buddy with the hostess at the bar. Katie admitted to Stassi and Kristen that the thought of Scheana rekindling her friendship with Lala bothered her.
“I could not imagine being at a f–king bar with Lala!” Stassi gasped. “I couldn’t even give her a hair flip in a bitchy way because I don’t even want to acknowledge her.”
Scheana tried to reassure Katie that she was on her team and would never betray her trust, but Katie seemed unconvinced.
