Microphones at the ready! NBC released a trailer for Hairspray Live! on Monday, November 21, and it looks like fans have got plenty to get excited about.
Ariana Grande, Derek Hough, Jennifer Hudson, Martin Short and Maddie Baillio all appear in the sneak peek of the much hyped holiday event.
The star-studded cast sing and shimmy their way through the iconic hit "You Can’t Stop the Beat" in the first glimpse of the show.
Although Baillio is a newcomer, making her debut as the show’s leading lady, Tracy Turnblad, there are some veterans of Broadway who will be belting out some hits too.
Kristin Chenoweth is playing Velma Von Tussle, and Harvey Fierstein dresses in drag to reprise his role as Edna Turnblad.
The trailer comes just a few weeks after the network released the first cast photo. Chenoweth posted it to her Instagram account with the caption: "So proud to be a part of this cast! Don't miss #HairsprayLive on @nbctv this December!”
Sean Hayes and Rosie O’Donnell have also been added to the cast.
Hairspray Live! airs on NBC Wednesday, December 7, at 8 p.m. ET.
