On Monday night's Bachelorette, Ames proved in the boxing ring that he's a lover, not a fighter. As 31-year-old Ivy-leaguer duked it out with Ryan P , he received several blows to the head.

Unfortunately for Ames, his protective headgear was not enough. When Ashley Hebert and the other guys noticed Ames' glassy eyes, bloody nose and disoriented state, he was rushed to the hospital.

2I was really upset when Ames got hurt. Ashley didn't even go with him to the hospital. I think she is too stupid and self centered for Ames. Ames is a bright, sensitive person who deserves someone more attentive to his needs. She could have at least given the rose to Ames later that night but she was too insensitive to think of anyone but herself and Bentley. I felt sooo bad for Ames. He deserves better and I hope he realizes it!
