As the newest star to step into the role of Catwoman, Anne Hathaway follows in the footsteps of two very, A-list, Hollywood actresses having donned the skin-tight costume before: Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry. And while Hathaway, 28, remains mum on the details of her character in The Dark Knight Rises, ("I signed a blood oath," she says), the real question is: which star makes the best feline vixen?

Pfeiffer, 53, played Selina Kyle/Catwoman in the 1992 Tim Burton-directed flick, Batman Returns, where she starred opposite Michael Keaton. The blonde bombshell earned two MTV Movie Awards nods for Most Desirable Female and Best Kiss (with Keaton as Batman) in addition to being lauded for her fierce and sexy performance.
Berry, 44, starred as the ferocious feline under a different alias, Patience Phillips, in the 2004 spinoff, Catwoman. But disappointingly, the flick was a total flop, receiving just a 10 percent freshness rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which resulted in the ageless beauty taking home the 2005 Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actress.

Meanwhile, Hathaway, who joins veterans Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine in the Christopher Nolan-directed action flick, is optimistic about portraying the iconic D.C. Comics character.
"I want to be the best actress I can be and that means working with the best people and taking the most challenging roles," Hathaway tells Total Film. "That's the plan and so far it's led to some really exciting places."
Arriving in theaters July 20, 2012, The Dark Knight Rises also features three new characters: John Blake (played by Joseph Gordon Levitt), Miranda Tate (played by Marion Cotillard) and Bane (played by Tom Hardy).

34MICHELLE hands down! BTW, Halle Berry's outfit looks like a mouse's not a cat's LOL. Michelle has always had this mysterious aura about her that she was able to show more freely as a Catwoman. She was perfect for the role.
Catwoman: Catwoman Theme From Batman Returns FINISHED. Put that sentence in to youtube and you'll see what I mean by Michelle Pfeiffer was the best. It's the theme song that was only played towards the end where batman rips off his mask, but its the entire song. Pretty awesome. Hally berry is crap by the way.
michelle pfeiffer all the way, she made her own outfit from shreds of her own clothes. She was pushed out a window and nawed and clawed back to life. Back to life, something she had wanted all along. Tired of the way things were, tired of being pushed around. At the end she knew she loved the same out of and in the suit. The emotions are crazy between bruce wayne and michelle pfeiffer. Hally berry wore a suit and ...that's about it. Hathaways suit looks like walmart trash or worse. So anyone thinking michelle pfeiffer isn't the best catwoman is racist, or picked her for her other movies as a topless skank.

How is this even a question? Halle Berry was a joke in "Catwoman". Michelle, OTOH, looks very sexy, very dangerous, and basically the embodiment of Catwoman in flesh: damaged and distrustful but strong and persistent. Anne Hathaway......uh, no comment but she looks like a miscast just like Berry. Only time will tell if her casting is worse or better than Berry.
That's the only choices? Get off tim Burton and Chris Nolan's overrated dicks and expand past 3 films. Lee Meriwether should be on this last.
Where's Eartha Kitt on this list? She was by far the best Catwoman.

Halle Berry's Cat Woman movie wasn't like Cat Woman AT ALL. It's Michelle Pfeiffer for SURE! She was sooo sexy and mysterious. We'll see how Anne does... they did tone the sex appeal of Cat Woman down a lot.

Julie Newmar was also great although my favorite is Michelle Pfeiffer, the ones saying Halle...I guess is a matter of taste but although Halle is sexy she looked so UN SEXY doing Catwoman, I actually felt so sorry and ashamed for how uncomfortable she looked for the part. I have never been able to see the whole Halle's movie. Michelle looks smooth and natural in Catwoman, Halle looks forced every time she stepped as a Catwoman. I have seen Batman retunrs more than a dozen of times
