Gettin’ jiggy wit it once more! Will Smith made an epic musical comeback when he performed a remix of his new single, “Fiesta,” at the Latin Grammy Awards on Thursday, Nov. 19.
Smith, 47, was joined by the Colombian group Bomba Estereo for the fire-blazing performance. Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, and his eldest son, Trey Smith, cheered him on from the audience. (The couple are parents to son Jaden, 17, and daughter Willow, 15. Will shares Trey, 23, with his ex-wife, Sheree Zampino.)
Smith’s return to the stage isn’t a one-time deal. Last month, he dropped new music for the first time in 10 years. He also revealed that he plans to go on a world tour with DJ Jazzy Jeff in summer 2016.
“I’ve been away doing some other stuff. Making kids and stuff. You know, it takes a little bit of your attention away,” the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum joked during Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show on Oct. 5. “I’m at the beginning of this process. Shaking the rust off, knocking the dust off.”
Smith’s most celebrated songs include “Parents Just Don’t Understand,” “Just the Two of Us,” “Summertime,” and “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It.”
