The Backstreet Boys — Brian Littrell, A.J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter and Kevin Richardson — won for Best Group Video at the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards for “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back).” The song is certified platinum and reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 list.

Valderrama isn’t the first to do a Backstreet Boys song on the show. Gigi Hadid rocked out to “Larger Than Life” with Carter and McLean in February.
