Wilmer Valderrama to Guest-Star on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ for Multiple Episodes

Fez is in! Wilmer Valderrama is set to appear in multiple episodes of Grey’s Anatomy beginning in April, ABC confirms to Us Weekly. The network did not elaborate on details about his role or story line, but the From Dusk Till Dawn star, 36, will play a character named Kyle Diaz. Variety was first to report the news.

Though the That ’70s Show alum’s role isn’t planned as a permanent resident in the halls of Grey Sloan Memorial, the the long-running medical drama has made some recent casting changes. Most notably, star Patrick Dempsey’s character, neurosurgeon Derek Shepherd, was killed off last season. The series then brought in hunky Martin Henderson to play Dr. Nathan Riggs in season 12, and promoted Giacomo Gianniotti’s Dr. Andrew DeLuca from guest to main player.

Moore on ‘Grey’s Anatomy.’

Though Valderrama will be appearing on Grey’s for the first time, the actor does have a previous tie to the show. The Minority Report star’s ex-girlfriend Mandy Moore guest-starred in a four-episode arc in the season 6 finale and season 7 premiere. She played patient Mary Portman, who helped Bailey (Chandra Wilson) try to keep Percy (Robert Baker) alive when the hospital was put in lockdown because of shooter Gary Clark.

Moore and Valderrama split in 2002 after dating for two years. The actor has been dating Demi Lovato since 2010.

Grey’s Anatomy airs on ABC Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST.
