Zac Efron Admits Going to Strip Club

Zac Efron says the secret is out: He went to a strip club.

Earlier in the week, New York Post's Page Six reported that he hit Flashdancers Gentlemen's Club in NYC, where he and two pals (including High School Musical co-star Corbin Bleu) dropped $2,000 on lap dancers and vodka.

Efron, 22, said on Jimmy Kimmel Live Wednesday that he made sure he got girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens' permission before he went.

But it wasn't easy.

"The hardest thing was calling your girlfriend before. How do you even start that conversation without feeling like a total a**hole?" he asked.

Turns out, "She was fine with it," he said.

Efron denied dropping so much money, though.

"I'm not really a type of guy who does this kind of thing often," he stressed. "I had this image of what it'd be like. I've heard a lot about these places, mostly from rap music -- they're supposed to be pretty reputable! So I envisioned myself in a nice couch with 'stunna shades' with T-Pain and Usher making it rain money. And it just wasn't like that."
