Actor, producer and director Hall began his industry career starring in Honeycomb cereal commercials, but rose to fame thanks to 1984's coming-of-age comedy Sixteen Candles, along with The Breakfast Club and Weird Science, in which Hall played a lovable geek character. Going on to star in USA's The Dead Zone from 2002-2007, Hall also played a gay love interest to Will Smith on the big screen in Six Degrees of Separation.
