Gabrielle and Carlos divorced in Season 3, and she married politician Victor Lang (John Slattery). Gabrielle began having an affair with Carlos, and after Lang was killed in a tornado, they remarried. When Desperate Housewives jumped forward five years, they struggled to raise disobedient daughters Juanita (Madison De La Garza) and Celia (Daniella Baltodano). In Season 7, Carlos' accidentally killed his wife's abusive stepfather during a heated argument; Gabrielle helped cover up the murder.
