Because sometimes, even the Academy Awards get it wrong. Here's to the biggest Oscars snubs -- including overlooked stars and films -- that have shockingly not taken home the golden statue over the years.
It was neck and neck, until the final trophy. In 2006, Ang Lee's Brokeback Mountain suffered a huge upset when it lost out to Paul Haggis' Crash for Best Picture. Brokeback, starring the late Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal as closeted lovers, won for Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay, but didn't make the cut. Haggis' film also accepted the award for Best Original Screenplay.
