Eva Longoria and Tony Parker Make it Official

 Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria said ‘Oui’ to basketball player Tony Parker on Friday as the couple were married in a civil ceremony in Paris. The Hollywood actress, 32, turned up at the city hall of the fashionable Marais district 10 minutes before 25-year-old Parker, who is seven years her junior but a foot taller. Outfitted in a short pink Chanel haute couture dress, Longoria said she was “hugely excited” as she made her way to the afternoon ceremony in a white stretch limo with a California license plate. Parker, who plays for the San Antonio Spurs, said he considers himself to be “the luckiest guy in the world." He added: “I feel blessed, really lucky.” Longoria gave a little wave to large crowds of well wishers before disappearing inside the ancient, gold stoned building to exchange vows before the city’s mayor, Bertrand Delanoe, and close family members. One-and-a-half hours later the pair emerged as man and wife. More than a 100 French policeman, including CRS riot squad officers, were on duty outside the town hall, and at least two roads were closed to traffic. Because of fears about a possible terrorist threat, dogs were also used to sniff for explosives. A civil ceremony was required by French law - it is a secular country - and was a prelude to Saturday’s religious ceremony, which will be held at Paris's Église Saint-Germain l'Auxerrois. The ceremony will be followed by an extravagant party at the Chateau Vaux-le-Vicomte, a 17th-century castle famed for its gardens and where the Kirsten Dunst film Marie Antoinette was shot. Eva is expected to dress up as the former queen of France, who was eventually beheaded. Guests expected at Saturday’s ceremony include Longoria's Desperate Housewives co-stars Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman and Nicollette Sheridan. "I'm so happy for her,” Huffman tells Us. “I wish her the best of luck!" In an interview with Le Parisien newspaper, Parker said he was eager to have children as quickly as possible. “That would be even better than my NBA titles, even if I don't compare private life and sports,” he said. “Eva talks to me about it all the time. I'd like to have girls, because I come from a world of boys.” On Thursday, Longoria and Parker treated friends such as Sheryl Crow, Ryan Seacrest, Hatcher and daughter Emerson, Jessica Alba and boyfriend Cash Warren, to a moonlight dinner cruise on the Seine River. After several hours, the yacht returned to shore and guests continued on to the afterparty at Paris’ exclusive VIP Room club, which they had to themselves. This is Eva's second marriage not her first. She reminds me of the high school cheerleader marrying the football star. I think she has the upper hand in this marriage. She uses Mario Lopez to get Tony jealous etc. etc. I think Tony's family preferred him to have waited and married a fellow french lady.

Congratulations to the two of them. I guess my only thoughts on this would be....why did she wear a very short pink dress to the civil ceremony? Especially as it's her first wedding, she looked beautiful in the photo above in white with her hair done. The outfit was gorgeous and more tasteful; I would've reversed the 2 outfits and wore the pink mini to the night before "cruise" and the white one to the civil ceremony..... but, I guess I'm just old fashioned.
