yeah. i just had stitches removed today after having the seventh basal cell carcinoma excised from my face. i was a sun worshiper but also got the gene. it's not particularly funny - and the basal cells are the garden variety. the ones in tricky places [nose, around the eyes] have to be repaired by a facial plastic surgeon. the surgery's the cure, but it gets damn tedious going back time after time to get the cancer removed and then the old nip/tuck to repair the wound from the removal.
mcgregor is fair-skinned and moles can sometimes be the scarier, more serious melanomas, and a lot different in the severity and treatment than the BCSC lesions. he could be being evasive, but hopefully was just wanting to keep his personal life personal.
