Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson preps for a movie unlike anyone else. The actor, who is currently hard at work filming his Fast and the Furious spinoff flick, Hobbs & Shaw, took to Instagram on Thursday, November 29, to show his 123 million followers how he gets ready to film a scene.

“Got the glorious text from my strength & conditioning coach @daverienzi that read ‘DJ, need a mid week carb up for your big scenes tomorrow. Eat a pizza and send me your pics in the morning’ to which I responded – Watch. This,” the action star wrote alongside a photo of himself readying to dig in to an entire pineapple and ham pie. There also appears to be another pizza underneath that one, though it’s unclear if The Rock housed both pies by himself.

“We’re having fun strategically manipulating my diet/body for shooting HOBBS & SHAW (my Fast & Furious spin-off film) and I love these midweek pizza carb ups like a drunk loves free peanuts,” Johnson, 46, added.

And in addition to preparing his body for whatever grueling action scenes he has coming up, the California native was also ready for any criticism he might receive regarding his somewhat controversial choice of pizza toppings. “As for my pizza toppings – keep in mind, I’m the guy who likes to put tequila and brown sugar in my oatmeal, so pineapple on pizza is MY JAM – with ham,” he mused.

Though there were some Instagram users who couldn’t reconcile The Rock’s choice to top a pizza with pineapple and ham, others wholeheartedly supported his decision. “Ham and pineapple on pizza is the best thing ever,” wrote one. Added another: “Nothing wrong with pineapple on pizza.”

As for the massive meal itself? That’s nothing new for the Ballers star. Every Sunday night he feasts on a “cheat meal” of his choosing, and the dinners are always huge. In the past he has eaten 18 sushi rolls followed by five cookie and peanut butter sandwiches, and a humongous stack of banana and chocolate chip pancakes.

As The Rock has put it in the past, “I make my cheat meals EPIC because, hell we all work hard and only live once.”
