The father of former Saturday Night Live star Cheri Oteri was stabbed to death in his Nashville home Saturday, the Associated Press reports.
Local police have arrested country songwriter Richard William Fagan, 61, in the murder of Gaetano Thomas "Tommy" Oteri, 69.
Fagan was Tommy Otari's manager, music publisher and roommate.
The two men got into a fight Saturday night inside their home. Later that evening, Fagan was charged with a DUI and was arrested at his bail bondsman's office.

I love her! I still go on youtube to see the Simmer Down skits and the one where she's this older lady addicted to 40 meds - ha! I looked for her 'best of snl' dvd but couldn't find it - do they make one for her, bc if they do I'm going buy that sucker in a heartbeat! Tim Meadows - get out of here! For real? Cheri Oteri was on SNL for a number of years and has been in a few movies. Maybe she isn't one of today's "It" girls like Britney Spears or Angelina Jolie but she is still a human being who has suffered a tragic loss. I am sorry for the entire Oteri family for their loss.

Ms. O'Teri used to be a regular on SNL. Damn, I loved it when she was in a skit! She is a very funny lady. Love her with Will Ferrell as the Spartan cheerleaders! I would roll over laughing everytime!
