The celebrity spinner, whose real name was Adam Goldstein, died in August 2009 of an apparent drug overdose at the age of 36. The star -- who battled his own drug addictions and attempted suicide before getting sober more than 10 years ago -- survived a tragic plane crash last year that left him critically injured.

114It comes from within to conquer any addiction, its what you make of it, that you become......
He probqably took drugs because he felt bad about ruining his body with tats. Ket's face it....the guy was a walking freakshow....
He was so nasty looking ferom being covered with tats that the authorities could not tell at first if he was even injured. STOP defacing your bodies with TATS. This is God's creation you're dumping on when you do this...Humans are not supposed to look like walking billboards. It is stupid, disgusting looking, and unhealthy. Stop this lunacy now.
It's acrying shame that after all these years, people haven't figured out that overdosing can KILL you. I am an addict, and can gratefully say I am clean today. I realize the struggle we have to stay clean at first and it does get easier. I am blesses to be among the few that can say I have lived through it with the help of friends, family and most of all GOD! All the praise has to go to Him. I do send prayers to Corey's family, and all families who have an addicted person close to them. Thank God that I can tell my story and only wish that others would climb on board for the long haul. Everyone be blessed!
Who cares about any piece of garbage that makes millions and blows it on drugs? He deserved to die. Thank god he did before he bred!! Have a nice day!
there's quite a few that should've been listed, that wasn't. selena, is just one. farrah wasn't that young. and quite a few listed.
These wonderful people will always be remember. But where's Brittany Murphy??
The disease of addiction is a deadly one. It is just waiting around the corner to suck you in if you don't admit that you are powerless over it and get help. This disease has killed millions and will continue to do so if we don't get a handle on it. I have seen to many friends die from this disease, I don't plan on being a statistic from it either. I AM NOT ready to die. I don't want to end up on a slab for an autopsy because of a STUPID bottle of pills or booze!!! And yes, I am a RECOVERING alcoholic/addict that plans to do the next right thing by living LIFE on LIFE'S terms!!!! I did go to the best treatment center in the world, in Texas. Please, please get help people!!! Don't be afraid to ask for help, I wasn't, and that saved my life. God gave me another chance to live!! I was very lucky!! I am praying for all who are out there that need help to beat this disease!!
its ashame. how is corey feldman taking it? if they were still friends.
Elvis Presley, come on!
to who cares: If you don't care why are yiu even reading this? Get a life.
I understand the idea that addition is a spiritual battle, but too often we throw God into the mix without really teaching about having a relationship with Him and understanding what our part is. Until recently, when I struggled with my own real issues, I didn't understand how anyone could think of using drugs. And for those of you who think "living in a lap of luxury" is the answer, please know that all the money in the world doesn't change things when you're hurting from the inside out and have lost hope. Most drug addicts aren't looking to die. They just aren't that excited about living. It's important to remember that celebs are people and sometimes, have problems that can't be fixed by money or fame. When you just want to get away, drugs can attract you and if people would let celebs be "just people" sometimes, they might have a chance to just get away. How would your life be if you had to live it in front of the world - the good and the bad things you wouldn't want anyone to know about you? I know it's part of the celeb life, but everything that glitters isn't gold and often the addicts are just looking for some place they can forget whatever is hurting them. We really should stop acting like money solves all the problems. Enough "rich" people have died unnecessarily to prove that isn't true.
well said Carrie..... Although I am not a recovering individual I did date one for years and attended many a meeting. Understanding, acceptance, desire to change, faith, and strength. Well put and essential in maintaining the path. Sad none the less.
i've never seen a prettier face than adrienne.i'm almost shedding tears at this asu computer.i've met many appalling attitudes.
Corey died an old man in a way. His life was in reverse. Most of us achieve success after a long period of trying hard. He achieved success in the beginning by being a relatively cute little guy and then once the cuteness rubbed off he was shunned by Hollywood and had a rapid decline. He wasn't used to the nowhere jobs and relative hopelessness that now pervades the United States and its moribund economy and so he couldn't adapt and found his reality in hard drugs. He could have always gotten a medical marijuana card and a job at Walmart and lived the American dream like the rest of us. StocktonRob
It's very said about Corey Haim. Another child actor starr gone to soon. His family are my thoughts and prays
I heard Reggie Bush(New Orleans Saints) was caught cheating on Kim Kardashian.
Hey John. Not to sound harsh but apparently you have never been into a rehab to know that religion does play a part. It is part of the curriculum that the serenity prayer be used, and doesnt stop there. I understand what you are saying however basing an ENTIRE recovery program around god doesnt get to the root of the problem. Addiction is a personal struggle that needs to be dealt with from the inside out starting with the earliest triggers and going from there. I do believe that a strong faith is a great basis for any recovery however simply believing in a higher power will not cure this. It comes from understanding, acceptance, desire to change, faith, and strength.
Death, in whatever form or situation is always sad and anyone who says "who cares" is a pathetic individual who will, hopefully in the end, experience the pain that death brings. If not, then he has never experienced love and THAT is even more sad. May your pain ease quickly and loving memories of your loved one shine through the gloom.
My prayers and Sympathy go out to Corey's family. You must always remember, he was a good actor, and I know he was a wonderful son. I pray today to my parents in Heaven that they will well come him into the Kindom of Heaven and will guide him to his family members who are waiting for him. He will be missed by the public.
