Mandy- there was nothing wrong with that. You knew your limits. It is really hard to quit smoking and doctors say that they recommend that you never quit cold turkey when you find out your preg because it could cause toomuch stress and cause a miscarry. They say to cut back and try to take it as you can handle it.

I smoked throughout my entire pregnancy and my daughter is healthy as can be. I'm not saying that I'm proud of that or that everyone should do it, but I did.

to each their own mom of 3 year old boy...I personally wouldnt do it but I also have friends that have smoked and had healthy babies. I do smoke now but I wouldnt while i'm preggers...but I would enjoy the occasional beer or glass of wine.

I'm just trying to understand you because your story changes everytime you write. Please don't take offense. Like I said I respect opinions although I may argue them cause I dont agree with them, I still respect them.

But you have stated you think they have a problem if they cant stay away from alcohol for nine months. So then if a pregnant woman has a beer or a glass of wine, let's just say once a week while pregnant...then you think they have a problem and are an alcoholic?

As Lisa stated...I have a lot of friends that drank up until they found out they were preggers and they have very healthy babies. Olivia...you originally were stating that mothers should not drink or take the risk of drinking an occassional beer when they are pregnant...then you changed your story to you, yourself would not drink if you were pregnant. You should have stated that you would never drink while pregnant if the first place. It originally came off as you judging others. To each their own. I think if you would have said that originally we would have not got the opinion you were judging others we would have realized you were telling us you wouldnt drink a beer. I respectyour opinion as I do Mandy's and everyone else that has one but please do not judge till you have experienced it for yourself.

Well, that's fine, I didn't during my pregnancy, and I won't during my next one, but that doesn't mean that people who do are wrong for doing so.

Well, I have and I know what my doctors told me. Going through it with them is not nearly the same as going through it yourself. I'm not trying to argue either, what I'm saying is that I believe you should read up on this paticular subject before you make comments about it.

exuse you I am not acting like I am perfect-I know the facts-but I just would not take the risk-EVEN if it was just one beer-I am not judging or saying that EVERYONE should absolutely not have not ONE beer-that is their choice. But me personally, I would not drink at all if I were pregnant.AGAIN that is just my opinion-if you want to start getting personal,we can do that.

Have you ever been pregnant? I doubt it. If you had been, your doctor would have told you the same things that I've been saying every time I've been on here. All I'm saying is you need to get your FACTS straight before you come on here and start preaching like you're perfect.
