Brit’s Latest Driving Mishap: Parks In Disabled Spot

County Sheriff deputy’s foot, a paparazzo’s foot and faced hit and run charges – you’d think she’d be a little more careful behind the wheel. But some things never change. Her most recent driving snafu? Spears, 25, parked her white Mercedes illegally in a spot reserved for disabled drivers on November 3 – ostensibly because she was in a rush to get a $29 fake bake at Tanning Plus in Studio City, California. Inside, a tanning manager named Annette told Usmagazine.com, “[Britney] said she was a little tired, but she was happy. She said she loves sun!” Enough to potentially face a $500 fine, if caught by the Los Angeles Police? Maybe that’s why she hustled out of the store with cousin Alli Sims, 26, quickly after their 20-minute fake-baking. “They tanned and they left – just like that,” the manager said. Evidently Britney doesn't realize that being an idiot doesn't qualify as a disability. There are times when I go to the store and I see little old ladies have to walk long distances in the parking lot because some lazy person decided they couldn't use their two good legs to walk into the store. I remember taking my grandmother to the store and seeing something like that happen--luckily I was there to drop her off right at the door to help her in. If she had gone alone, she would have had to walk--someone with severe arthritis, back problems, two artificial hips, and bad knees that probably will need to be replaced and can't walk even short distances without extreme pain. There is no excuse for that laziness and utter lack of regard for disabled people. They need to toughen up the penalty. A 500 dollar fine is too good for these worthless people who do this thing.

It is not always physically handicapped people who have to use handicapped spots. People are disabled too because they can't walk long distances without becoming short of breath and stopping to rest. While I don't think that of much of Britney anyway because of all the poor choices she goes around making, I am a little insulted being a handicapped person myself. She is lucky someone didn't come along and really need that spot and couldn't have it because she was there. I'd give anything to be normal again and not have my disability. I'd park far a way if I could. She does not have a clue to know what it is like to have to actually rely on those spots especially on a bad day.

I know what you're talking about. because of the line at airport securty these days and how long it take I sometimes have to use an airport wheelchair and therefore get infront of everyone at secrity. The faces I get make me feel so bad. Sometimes I just act really sick so that I don't get those faces or those people wispering about me as I go by. I don't know why,but sommetimes I feel like a froud. I mean sometimes i feel like I have to carry around my five inch thick medical charts and my three inch thick folder of xrays just to prove to people that I'm not lying.One time I was getting on the airplane first and this lady started yelling at me and then started yelling at the airline staff because she didn't think I should get on before her and her 3 kids. I was so imbaressed I almost pulled down my pants so she could see the scars on my hips.ust because I'm young and you wouldn't know I am sick unless I told you people think I'm a lying. It's hurtfull.

Wow, you've had quite a time. I also get really angry about this topic as my Mother uses a handicap tag because of a lung disease. To anyone looking at her I'm sure she looks perfectly healthy..but she simply isn't able to walk too far because she can't breathe that well..especially in very hot and very cold weather. It just really ticks me off when people who don't need those spaces park there. More than once I've called the police to report the idiots! Sometimes I think some of the people who post here just try to say the most outragious things because they enjoy getting people upset. It's sad that somebody needs that for enjoyment.

Well thank you for apologizing. Truth is that I am hadicapped, I am 26 years old and for the last 7 years I've had an autoimmaune disease that attacks my joints and organs. It eats away at the cartoledge in my joints and because of it I have had 10 surgerys. A few being both hips relpaced, right wrist fused, 4 joints in both feet fused and soon to be another in my left foot.I also had a stroke when I wasz 20. I'm not asking for simpothy and I never have, which is why I didn't mention any of this in my originall blog. i just want people to think before they say things like that. It's not cute and it is very hurtful to those living with phiscal and mental disabilitys.I am greatfull that I still have the use of my legs and their were no side efects to the strok.I'm greatful too that I don't need to use a handicap parking spot, but for thoes who do(evan the over weight ones)I'll always stick up for them.

Is one of the most rude, insulting ,and arrogant things I have ever heard.When I hear things like that it makes me wish that people like you would have to live in a handicapped persons life for a few weeks. When you have a physical disability or take care of someone who does getting around is not easy. Next time you decide to make a JACKASS comment like that why don't you try helping someone get a 100 pound wheelchair out of the car and put someone who can't move their legs into it. This girl has no clue about anything. She goes shopping for lights and leaves her children in the car (wow it's always fun spending quality time with mommy!) and then goes tanning and parks her car in a handicap stall.
