She better hope to god that her tv show doesn't shoot any footage or expect her to do publicity work in Japan.

Hayden Panettiere is a wanted woman after interfering with a dolphin hunt in Japan last month.
"I learned that they have an arrest warrant out for me in Japan," the Heroes star, 18, told E! News Wednesday. "We just found out."
Usmagazine.com has learned the warrant is for obstruction of commerce.
The actress, along with other activists, attempted to block a pod of dolphins from being led into a nearby cove for massacre by fishermen in the southwestern Japanese town of Taiji on October 30. The fishermen insisted hunting dolphins is a Japanese custom, and Panettiere had no business interfering.
To avoid arrest for trespassing by the Japanese national police, Panettiere said she fled to the Japanese city of Osaka and left the country immediately.
The actress released a statement about the arrest warrant on Thursday. "We can no longer hide behind out-dated, senseless cultural traditions and lazy, bad habits that are resulting in the annihilation of our planet’s resources and the extinction of our species," Panettiere said. "As a spokesperson for the “Declare Yourself” campaign, I encourage everyone – particularly young people – to educate themselves on the candidates and their positions on environmental issues."
She closed, "Every generation has its own challenge; this is the challenge of our generation.”

Funny how if nothing scares her, she didn't stay in the country and let herself get arrested. If she is not scared of anybody then why did she flee the country so quickly?
Many scientists from many countries say that there are a large number of minke whales
'which is the only kind japanese take now' therefore, not like bowhead whales,
minkes are not gonna become extinct if they are caught to some extent.
It's not big deal as long as they don't take more than the number of whales IWC decides.
Whales are not tasty so I think they are not gonna try to catch many whales any way.
I just worry if the number of whales increase by simply regulating taking whales,
the number of many other fish decreases and the number of ship hit and damaged by whales increases.
Whale hunt may be necessary to keep the sustainable environment.
I haven't heard that dolphins are killed for food in Japan.
I think many Japanese people don't know that and they don't think dolphins are food...
I think dolphins are not harmful and shouldn't be killed.
I'm sorry for pigs and cows and many others killed by human beings whether they are farmed or not.
Research on the toxicity of whales and fish should be done more though.
Go Hayden! It's awesome to see that some of us young people are stepping up to the plate to protect our world.
TO WHOEVER replied to Mr Sensitivity writing all that rubbish, these animals have feelings...have YOU ever thought how THEY feel; the amount of pain they feel seeing their family being slowly tortured to death, I've seen how these animals are killed. And people like you then like to pull the "animals don't feel".
As for my job, I don't sit typing on the computer. And just because you're well off doesn't mean you're spoiled brat. It's what you do with your life that counts. I've done "back-breaking" work as you called it in Africa, Costa Rica as well as many other countries. I do conservation volunteer work, so my life is dedicated towards wildlife etc. So don't your DARE say that humans have the right to MASSACRE these HIGHLY INTELLIGENT animals in such a brutal way because they enjoy it and it's their job. There are more humane ways than to leave a dolphin out of water and slice it with a machetti and then leave it to die. If you'd like to go into detail on how they're massacred you can watch it on youtube by searching dolphin massacre Japan.
The comment about cultural tradition being senseless and outdated is the only thing I found bad. If you think about it, CHRISTMAS is a cultural tradition. Is it senseless and outdated? There are traditions that are morally degrading, but interfering is something to be debated on. Personal choice should be respected, that's what I think.
For now, I understand her point about helping the dolphins. They ARE in danger, but she shouldn't have handled the situation so drastically. There are smarter ways to let the Japanese people continue their traditions, and still preserve the dolphins' numbers. IT's all about regulation and control. The same goes for all the other animals we eat. We raise and protect these animals so we can be sure that they don't run out.
It's not just Japan hunting down animals you know. There's a lot of illegal trade in animals going on. Those guys should be arrested, because they're only interested in the money there. At least the dolphins are killed for a good reason.
And stop those racist comments against the Japanese. Seriously. You have no right to call them "~toot~ Japs". What do you think of yourselves huh? Don't cross the line.
And Mr Sensitivity: Seriously. YOU try being so poor that all you'll be thinking about is what to feed your family in the evening and how you'll survive the next storm. You try living in a shanty that could be blown away by the next gust of wind. You probably don't even know the conditions in any other country other than your own. Don't blame these people if they're not like you. 90 percent of the time, it's not even their fault.
2 words: endangered species.
Ok, so don't impose your own values on another culture. That's fair enough and I support that (in some respects, naturally I am opposed to cultures who impose on the human rights of others, etc, but that's beside the point).
BUT it becomes a problem when the hunting is targeted at a species such as dolphins in which some are endangered (certain species of dolphins).
If pigs were endangered there would be strict controls over the hunting of them for food... Why should it not be the same for dolphins?
Don't make senseless and emotive comments. Do your research and make a somewhat informed and neutral argument. I don't have all the facts myself but I have no doubt that many activist groups such as the one Hayden is involved with, has a great deal more of information and understanding than anyone on this board does (considering it is their passion...)
So unless you have something that you know to be a fact that rebuts their actions, I really suggest that you do not speak. By making silly and uneducated comments hiding behind a screen name or 'Anonymous', you're only proving your lack of intelligence.

"I use my real name because others' opinions of me mean very little"
This is a teenage girls' crusade. We have human sex and slave trades and a war in Iraq and these little chicks are worried about dolphins being hunted by a sovereign nation. Whatever.
Excuse me?! How dare you! You have no right whatsoever! Those fishermen's ancestors were probably fishermen themselves! Yes, they can change, but what if they don't want to? Hmm? Have you ever thought that it's that job that makes them feel happy? That it's the best thing they could do to put food on the table for their families? You're obviously a spoiled brat like this "celebrity" You never had to do back-breaking work to put a bowl of rice on the table. You stupid people just have to sit on a desk and type for a day, and complain about it, while there are people out there struggling to just survive! If you think that this is "cruel and unjust" then you should switch lives with one of those fishermen and see how you feel after you do their jobs!
That dumb actress has no right to interfere with another culture's tradition! That's like asking a pig to go on a diet! Not gonna happen! If Japan starts hunting her down, I'll gladly point her out.
Hayden is one of my top 5 hottest girls in hollywood
THEM LITTLE idiot JAPENESE PEOPLE.
they can all just take a trip to hel and stay there.
GO HAYDEN.
Please, save the dolphins. they are endangered species.
The "tradition" that is being protected is commerce - the dolphins are being sold for food. We should remember that the Yakusa - Japan's OFFICIAL mafia - have control over this type of fishing and the Government dare not oppose them. Simply type in "Yakusa" into any browser to find out more... also, we take the lives of animals HUMANELY in civilised countries - the dolphins understand perfectly that they are being killed and have time to suffer extreme distress just as humans would. If you disagree with rational and intelligent thoughts about this subject then WELCOME TO JAPAN because your head is their already....
I agree with many on here who have stated that the cultural practice of the Japanese should be respected, but I also believe that times have changed and that the way that dolphins may have been hunted for in the past is not the same way they are hunted for now. I'm certain that Japanese fisherman are hunting far more dolphins in a shorter time period than before and that should be very alarming!!! Although I don't believe that Japanese fisherman should be forced to change or have ideas imposed on them regarding their fishing practices, I do think it's their responsibilty to re-evaluate this cultural practice and come up with a more sustainable way of subsisting...even if that means stopping this practice all together. I can't help but think that these fisherman must recognize or soon will that their resource is depleting in the wild and that they will be out of that livelihood one way or the other. I mean no dis-respect to no one with this comment...PEACE!!!
it's too bad that some racist idiots are using this article as a soundboard for insulting Japanese people.
It's a legit custom, and at least the dolphins are eaten and not wasted or hunted pointlessy- and as some other people pointed out, people in the USA would get pretty pissed if someone from Japan, famous or otherwise, attempted to stop us from killing cows or chickens. I think that one of the only reasons people want to save dolphins is because they're intelligent, cute, and friendly- its kinda sad how hypocritical we are, actually, fine with eating animals we have no personal connection with such as cows, but if its a horse or a dog, we suddenly care.
And if Hayden did something illegal, she should face up to it and turn herself in.
She is So beautiful
vamp, there is genocide in this world, and yes, people are trying to stop it. the dolphins are being 'sacrificed', they are being EATEN, just as the inuit people hunt for whale and EAT it. there is a big difference. they aren't killing them just for the sake of killing them. the japanese aren't known for being stupid. just so you know too, whenever the USA does try to step in to stop genocides, our president gets bashed unashamedly by people who do not have their priorities straight...it's humans first, and some people think animals come before humans.
I think Japan needs another 15 million degree C "sun" in their land of the rising sun, since they still have not woke up from Pearl Harbor. Obstruction of Commerce? That is a bunch of stupid $h!t and a corrupt self serving law. I hope Hayden thumbs her nose at this joke of a country. Everyone has to learn new things and change jobs, its the global economy. I dont give a rat's a$$ about the "poor" fisherman and their families. They can retrain and find modern ways of making a living JUST like very one else. Customs and tradition my a$$ I have NO sympathy for those animals (the fisherman in case you are not keeping up). Guess they are still a 2nd world backwater country after all. There are 6.5 billiion of us and ALOT fewer dolphins, leave em alone!
With all due respect, Miss Panettiere has no right to tell us what are "out-dated, senseless cultural traditions". Of course they're going to keep fishing dolphins, it's their culture and one that many people have absolutely no problem with. Instead of investigating completely legal foreign fishing policies, maybe one should invest their money and fame in something a little more worth while like food for the hungry, shelter for the poor, and donations to all of those men, women and children who get beat brutally every day. Seems a little more important to me. As for the fishing policy : it's Japan. It's THEIR culture and THEIR beliefs. If some one were to come to America and try and hide/keep from us all of our lobster or beef, we'd be pretty annoyed too. I'm not saying she's a bad person, but if she REALLY wanted to set a good example she'd turn herself in.
OK so if human sacrifices were a custom in some country...no one would do anything about it?...come on its brutal murder...Have you ever seen the video of how they kill the poor dolphins??
Whoever wrote this:
Hey hio I think you are dating someone off dumbandstupid.com and it's a perfect match!
Please just choke yourself.
It's a shame that dolphins are being killed but at least they're being eaten. Why do you all care about dolphins and not cows, chickens, fish or anything else that is killed or eaten. It's the natural food chain and without it the human race wouldn't exist. Enjoy your turkey this Thanksgiving. I know I will.
After reading much about this particular subject, I think that those who support protecting planet earth should no longer purchase anything that is made in Japan.
who is she to tell someone that they have to change their customs and culture? I guarantee you that is she were a christian trying to do missionary work there, the whole world would be screaming at her, but because it's dolphins, it's ok somehow. it's not ok. neither she, nor PETA nor anyone else has a right to tell someone they have to change their culture for any reason. certainly in our own culture feel this is wrong, but it's not wrong to those who have practiced that for ages. they are not likely to change their practices. those stars who have nothing better to do with their time should perhaps refocus the energies on more pressing issues, more along the lines of angelina jolie, HUMANITARIAN issues, where people are starving and abused, or perhaps education issues. I wonder if hayden will face the fire with this arrest warrant, or will she have it quietly go away.
what losers??? stupid japs!!! leave those poor dolphins alone!!
it is not ok for people to call the japanese f japs. that is just stupid and has nothing to do with hayden at all, so if thats the only thing you're going to say, dont bother, no matter how obvious it is that our genereation has bigger problems then dolphin hunting in japan. thats no escuse for people to be insulting an entire nation of people.
OMG japs eat everything that move... I mean shes protecting them from being pooped out or worn by humans who cares if its for PR.... what isnt?
SAVE FLIPPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who decides what is allowed in customs and what isn't? Before pointing your ugly American fingers at other democratic nations, fix your own damn problems. Hayden should have sacrificed herself for the poor dolphins if she cared so much. But noooo, she's just a big effing p^ssy that fled the country as fast as she could after she broke the law there. Maybe she should do more for the "cause of our generation" rather than just using it as PR. Dumb c^nt.
if this is the challenge of our generation, i think i might just go ahead and kill myself.
and to everyone who used the word jap, i hope you all get anal raped by hitler in hell while being force fed dolphin meat.
Ok her fake eye lashes are really freaking me out.
That's easy don't go back to Japan.
Good for her for doing something she believes in. Who in their right mind would kill Dolphins anyway? Stupid Japs!
