video: Former Biggest Loser Contestants Share Their Weight Loss Secrets!

Wednesday – November 11, 2009 – 2:51pm

Take that, fat!

Biggest Loser's former contestants Hollie Self and Alexandra White may not have won the hit NBC show, but they've managed to become weight winners in the real world.

Check out even more Biggest Loser weight winners!

"After spending one short week on the ranch -- I was the first eliminated -- I was distraught," White -- who competed on the show's current season -- tells Usmagazine.com. "I felt lost. I didn't know where to start, where to go."

The 20-year-old college student, who began at 309 pounds, decided to educate herself on nutrition.

"I really had no clue about diet or exercise," she tells Us. "I learned through all of this that it's really about watching your calories and pushing yourself."

Now at 220 pounds, her current goal is to get below the 200 mark -- a weight she hasn't been since she was a fifth-grader.

Another Biggest Loser success story?

Self, the Season 4 runner-up, dropped 105 pounds during the show and is now only 158 pounds.

Her secret, she says, is keeping a food journal.

"I really keep track of every single calorie that I put into my mouth," Self tells Us. "Before I went on the show, I would eat 1,200 calories for breakfast!"

Self, 30, tells Us she is planning to do her first Half Ironman triathlon -- a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike ride and 13.1-mile run -- in April, and she's already anxious to compete.

"I feel empowered, like I can do anything," she says.

Try wearing wearable weights like â??Body Togsâ?? anatomically designed weighted sleeves worn on your arms & legs under your clothes. Put them on in the morning and you literally forget you have them on while increasing your calorie burn, muscle tone & bone density! Weighted vests work great too!
