That picture is rediculus. I dont care if it is part of the news or not. Today is 2/1/08 and its clear the media will not drop this for months to come, if ever! How can the family greive, if there is pictures like this plastered at every news stand? I cant beleive how many people out there care more for a buck,then another person, and people surrounding that person. Its sickening!

I am in complete shock and utter disbelief over this. As another poster pointed out, Heath Ledger never entered into my mind as a troubled celebrity who would meet an untimely end. He was a brilliant actor with so much unrealized potential, and so many amazing roles already on his resume. His family and friends deserve to mourn like anyone else and I think it was really in poor taste to post the picture above. It's clear that the news and circumstances of his death won't and would never be able to be kept private, but has he no right to privacy even as he's being wheeled out on a gurney? I realize I'm posting here and adding fodder to the tabloids, but still, we didn't need to see that photo. It's morbid curiosity, but not something anyone needed to see, nor is it a picture that his family and friends would ever want to see or have seen by the masses I'm sure. My sincerest condolences go out to the Ledger family, Michelle Williams, her and Heath's young daughter Matilda, and anyone else who has been personally affected by this tragedy. Their grief must be unfathomable. I only hope for their sake that the media will grow a heart and keep a respectful distance.

we lost an outstanding actor today, and all some can do is ridicule him . have you ever been so depressed nothing matters? i think he was so sad and messed up that he felt this was the only way out. he and his girlfriend spilt and that must have been very hard for him to deal with. his daughter whom he loved with every each of his soul. i think alot got to him more than anyone knows or understanding.and to him this was the only way out? selfish-because his little girl will never truly know how much her daddy loved her and how much she meant to him. on the other hand i think alot really got to him.get help?how no star can move without the news knowing about it and then they dont say what really is going on they makeup things as they go and that hurts.

To the people who think Heath is selfish - a person who is in the frame of mind to kill themselves, is not in a position to consider the feelings of the people left behind. Of course my heart breaks for his gorgeous daughter, but do u really think he would have done it if he could see what this loss will do to her???? Not to mention that at this point in time, no one actually knows that he did commit suicide, you are all just speculating....if we find out he did take his own life, have compassion for a man who must've been suffering a terrible mental illness to be able to take his own life.

Not a cool picture I must say. We all know this is big news, but a picture of a bodybag is very disrepectful. I'm sure there were a million other shots you could have used without resorting to that one. My heart goes out to his family and his adorable little girl who looks just like him. Poor Heath...you were an amazing soul, I just don't think you ever knew it.....

I know its a sad thing, but why not have respect for his family and friends and stop showing pictures of his body being escorted out in a body bag. I find it shameful and sad. If you are going to put pictures up use ones of him smiling and being happy, not depressing ones like this. I and some others do find it quite revolting that you need to take full advantage over this to make a quick buck over someones death.

so sad...even though its tragic i really believe its the most selfish thing someone can do because now his family has to deal with this loss... my sympathy goes to them and his adorable baby girl who will now never know her daddy....
