Heather and Paul Fight for Custody Over Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Pablo Picasso

The latest custody battle in Paul McCartney and Heather Mills’ divorce is over the paintings that hang in the estranged couple's country house. According to the British newspaper The Sun, the former Beatle removed $19.5 million worth of paintings from the sprawling Peasmarsh, Sussex, estate that the couple formerly shared, and then reprogrammed the alarm codes on his way out. On Thursday, Mills arrived at the home with family and pals for a New Year's holiday, and was stunned when she set off the burglar alarm and discovered the security codes had been changed. Cops were alerted by the alarm and arrived within minutes, at which point the 38-year-old former model realized that paintings and photos of her with the couple's 3-year-old daughter, Beatrice, were missing. “Heather is staggered,” said a pal of Mills. “Several pictures, including Renoirs and Picassos which have been hanging on the walls for months, have been taken. Photos of her and Beatrice have also vanished. Heather can’t believe things have got this bad.” The friend added: “The police spoke to Sir Paul’s security guards, who confirmed he had removed them.” Pals claim that Sir Paul, 64, does not have the right to access the lodge under their separation agreement. McCartney’s defense? He took the artwork because he was concerned about security at the lodge. How can that woman make out Paul is violent? He was married to Linda for a long time and Linda was a strong woman there's absolutely no way she'd have stayed with a violent man. And unlike the gold-digger mills, she had enough of her own money and didn't need to stay with Paul. Mills should go and crawl back under her stone!!!

I'm on Paul's side...he earned the money to buy the paintings...It is still hard to believe that Paul wouldn't have the business sense to have a pre-nup...I guess love is blind. I also feel she did have dollar signs in her eyes. Paul has said one time early in their relationship that a song came on the radio and she asked him was that one of his songs...he replies yes..that is "Get Back"...I guess he thought that was cute...jeez I know she is only 38 but has she been hiding under a rock for all those many years!

I truly feel sorry for women like Heather Mills. Sorry that they suffer from such a lack of self-respect that they cause themselves more harm than good - sorry that they try to hang on long after they should have let go and moved on. If Heather were the woman that she thinks she is, she would have done what Marla Maples did when Donald Trump divorced her. Marla quietly moved on and kept her dignity and self-respect. The world is watching Heather! Do you think any man worth having is going to want to touch you with a ten foot pole after watching this? I THINK NOT!

I feel for Pual. Everyone makes mistakes and he should not have to pay for his for the fest of his life. She is just a gold digging dumb hore who deserves nothing but bad omens coming her way. My grandmother is a gold digger. She married my grandfather, took everything that she could from him and then left him. He died shortly after from a heart attack. He was heart broken. She married right after an older man with a lot of money and she thought that they were good to go. Well, he died last year, and not only did he take all of his money with him when he died, but he took all of hers as well. He left her so far into dept, that she had to sell her car, house and jewlery. She now lives in a studio apt. living off of good will cloths and top ramen. She went from having everything that she coud ever want to having nothing at all strugling to eat for the day. I don't think that Pual should have to go through any of that, but it is true, what comes around goes round.

People who can condem Paul blows my mind. He was married to Linda for 29 yrs. Sure no marriage is perfect...What is important is Linda never left. Heather comes along and wants to change Paul, his life style. When you can not get along with the grown kids you do have a problem. To condem Paul for marrying her is crazy. He made a mistake but good god I do not think he should have to pay what she want him to pay nor his kids should have to pay for that mistake. The money Paul made with Wings 1/2 belongs to Linda. Heather is what she is...Tired of her trying to change the spots on her back.

Heather Mills only true interest in charity is what it can do for her. Take a look at her website: me, me, me. If she isn't photographed doing it, it doesn't count. She was a nobody before she conned a wealthy older man (which seems to be her greatest talent) and all the wealth in the world won't buy her what she will never be: respected and taken seriously. This year's rich divorcee is next year's contestant on the Surreal World.

It seems that most people want to bash Heather Mills. Is she a Gold Digger - maybe. Is Paul an abusive man - maybe. Should a wealthy famous 60 year old man gotten a prenup before marrying a much younger non-rich woman - absolutely! That being said - Paul should not have gone to the country house, removed paintings & pictures and changed the alarm code. If he was worried about the artwork's safety than he should have contacted Heather's lawyers and arrranged to have them moved somewhere safe. This is obviously not about their safety - it is about power and control. He has been denied power and he is does not like it and he is trying to take control - why else would he change the security code - after he removed the art work! I feel sorry for him - this just seems like such a pathetic thing to do.

Im sure it wasnt Heather Mills who bought the 19.5 million dollar Paintings with her own money, that were so called "taken" and or bought the Estates she is staying in.
Being married to someone for less then 5 years when that someone has already established a fortune with no help and or aid for more years then she has been alive should stand for something, I dont get why she should have HUGE amounts of money given to her just because she chose to say "I DO"
if not a gold digger, then move into your own place and share your daughter with her dad whom Im sure will make sure you have more then enough Child support, and stop saying one thing and doing another.

Just when you think she has done it all she strikes again. Way to go Heather, you are making an all out effort to make a music icon fall from grace. What's next on your list? Trademarking his name perhaps and reaping the undue benefits? She should be ashamed of herself. Her child should be her only concern in this divorce. Providing a good life for her little one will require some cash, although I'm sure she can find some other kind hearted sole to rip off!! Just give her a couple million and lets get back to the music. I'm sure Paul will be able to provide a wonderful upbringing for their child, after all he has done before, just look at his adult children...all well rounded, successful, and talented people who seem to have not been jaded by celebrity. Heather should take note!

Im on Heathers Side all the way.......#1. Yes, she married a rich famous guy....but more then likely for love. #2. She has a child with Sir Paul. #3. He is hiding something. He may be all charm on the outside. But the things he is doing all say that he has a darker side.. Hiding paintings, stealing photos of her and their daughter (more then likely to rip them up or burn them, out of some sort of revenge for her leaving him). Also there are other things he has done, getting all upset because she took two jars of some sort of cleaner, locking and changing locks on homes he isnt even suppose to be in during the separation. I think he is acting in ways that say he is more concerned about how to get back at her and protect himself then how he can take care of his daughter. I believe Heather in that he was more then likely abusive. Rich powerful men are all about themselves, not who they are married too or even about how they can be good fathers, it is only about them. I know, as I am married to one. They have everything and everyone at their beck and call, when someone doesnt immediately jump for them there is a war. A war of terror. Heather deserves all she can get. Half or more......... I use to like Paul before all of this. However, the things he is doing are things my own rich powerful husband would do to protect himself, without thoughts of what he would do to hurt his children by hurting their mother. I beleive Heather! I hope she gets billions.

Regardless of what people think about Heather Mills and her motives, Paul should not have removed assets and changed the alarm without notifying Heather or her attorney. It is simply a matter of respect. If Heather had permission to use the house for the New Year he should not have interfered. More and more, Paul seems to be causing the anger to escalate. I am becoming very disillusioned with him. He should allow the courts to make decisions regarding division of assets and not go out of his way to start trouble. Resetting the security alarm when he knew she was on her way there was just plain mean and petty. Shame on him.
His children not liking her has nothing to do with her personality. I have many adult friends who have had extreme difficulty adjusting to a parents new spouse. It seems like the older they are the more difficult it is.

I think things didn't work out for them. I think Paul should cut his losses and run (hopefully with the help of a good lawyer). I think Heather should add a string to her wooden leg and pay for some violin lessons.

I don't think all English are mean, etc... big generalisation. I seem to remember that the British practicularly saved France during the second world war, not to mention being one of the countries to loose most people in that war. Funny how we're also sacrificing lots of troops in Iraq too. But, different point. If Heather wins a huge payoff from the divorce and then gives much of it to charity, then she will at least gain respect for that. Still doesn't change the lack of respect she shows for her own child, but at least many others could at least benefit from Paul's money instead of him sitting there counting it all himself...

SInce I"m British I thought's I'd just tell what many people from that country really think about the so called "favourite Beatle"! British people have had enough of Paul anyway, and many younger people in particular really have no time for him because he's really tight and mean with his money. He has more money than he could possibly ever spend himself, yet when do you ever hear of him ever giving any of it to charity or to combat world diseases in the developing world? (like Bill Gates, and so many others). Also, quite frankly, men shunning decent interesting beautiful women of their own age to marry women their daughter's age make me sick. If he had married someone his own age he would have least got some people's respect.

I don't know what went on within the marriage, but there is something about this woman that I have always thought was a little "off". She always seemed unpleasant and Paul's children w/ Linda couldn't stand her and that's usually a warning sign. I feel for the little girl who will grow up amongst this animosity. With that being said, she should receive only what she should deserve after 4 years of marriage, plus support for the tot, not 1/2 of everything. He earned that himself long before she was in his life (or even born for some of it) and that should be left alone to leave to his kids with Linda when his time comes.
