Heidi Montag
Best known for her appearance on MTV's reality show The Hills, Heidi Montag worked at Bolthouse Productions during her time on-air. Defined by her falling out with former roommate, best friend, and Hills costar Lauren Conrad, her erratic romance with costar Spencer Pratt , the flopping debut of her first recording album, and her controversial plastic surgery, Montag is a big name in the Hollywood gossip circuit. In February 2008, Montag made headlines once again, but this time it didn't concern some petty fight: Montag's step brother Eric O'Hara tragically died when he accidentally slipped off a building in Steamboat, Colorado. O'Hara had just returned from serving as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division in Iraq and Afghanistan for over three years. In March 2008, a New York Times writer called Montag a "feminist hero" – a statement that has sparked much controversy. Montag has been linked to Hills costar Spencer Pratt since the summer of 2006. Season two of the show focused on Montag's relationship with Pratt and the detrimental impact it had on her friendship with college pal Conrad. In May 2007, Montag and Pratt announced their engagement but the duo called their fleeting engagement off in December 2007. Currently, Montag is still dating Pratt, but wants to hold off on marriage until both of their lives settle down. In December 2007, Montag told Us, "It's easier now…I'm in it for the long haul." Montag's success as a reality star is actually due to her best friend turned enemy Lauren Conrad. After an appearance on MTV's second season of Laguna Beach, MTV decided to make Montag a key player in the spin off, The Hills, which premiered in May 2006. During the filming, Montag dropped out of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles to intern at Bolthouse Productions. Now, she is currently working on recording an album. Her first single "Higher" received terrible reviews - reviews so bad that Montag told Us she cried herself to sleep the night it debuted. However, resilient Montag still plans on pursuing a singing career. She recently released her second single, "No More," a pop ballad that centers around a love gone bad.
