Live from New York it's... Hillary Clinton!

The senator slipped off the presidential campaign trail early Saturday evening to make a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live.

The show began with a satire of Tuesday night's Democratic debate, poking fun at Clinton's stance on health care and the softball questions posed to Barack Obama.

"Life is too short to deal with this awful woman. Just give her what she wants," Amy Poehler as Clinton said.

Following the skit, Clinton appeared to praise the "reenactment – sort of," she said.

She stood next to Poehler wearing a matching outfit.

"The campaign is going well," Clinton said. "Why? What have you heard?"

Clinton then exclaimed the trademark line, "Live from New York, it's Saturday night."

Ellen Page hosted the show, with Wilco – a band that has endorsed Obama – as the musical guest.

Former Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani also appeared during SNL's "Weekend Update."

"My one key mistake was years ago when I hosted this show and wore a dress," he said. "[My campaign] was like an SNL skit. It started strong but you really don't have an ending."

Clinton's appearance comes ahead of Tuesday's Democratic primaries in Ohio, Texas, Rhode Island and Vermont.

The Clinton campaign announced that Melanie Griffith and here to see stars on the campaign trail.

On last week's episode, SNL parodied the media's infatuation with Obama while guest-host Tina Fey defended Clinton.

Clinton will be interviewed on Comedy Central's Daily Show Monday night.

In February, Clinton self-critiqued her "worst outfits ever" for Us Weekly.

Obama, who made a similar surprise SNL appearance last year, wrote his own Just Like Us captions.
