lc is so incredibly fake, plus she's a liar. i can't believe anyone would think that she is the sole reason for the success of the show. audrina is hot!! and she should really try to fan out into either legit tv or movies. heidi sells the show. people watch to see what's going on w/her and will she/won't she drop spencer.

You let your 7 year old watch this with you? That is ridiculus and as far as wanting your 7 year old to wear a short skirt like you, think about all the sickos around this world before you do, I would never let my young daughter wear a short skirt, let alone want her to. That is sick.

For the posting that said that you couldnt believe someone would let a 7 year old watch the show, because of "Heidi bounce her implants around" - I think there is more to not letting a young kid watch the show. But thank you for making it a I hate heidi comment. Get over yourself. Kids should not watch it because;

1. All of the superficial people on the show.
2. Most kids cannot be like them, rich, privlegded, with all the best clothes - it messes with healthy self image
3. All the backstabbing - the show highlights how to be a BAD friend (not because of heidi either)
4. It encourages kids to be stupid - what with all the people on the show - they talk so slow and are always saying stupid things.
5. The show highlights the people always going out and shopping and pretty much being self-serving. How about a show that shows young people doing things for charities and helping people. That would be something worth watching.

Message to stupid Heidi & Spencer, my parents met on a blind date and my mom just graduated high school, she and her sister are twins, and my had finished his first year of college, and they waited a couple of years to get married, and they've been married ever since, and they did get married young, in their early 20s!

I'm glad the ratings for the re-premiere of Season 3 of the Hills was great & had breaking records of 1.8 million viewers, when generally, there's an average of 4.7 million viewers watching the show, etc.

I'm so happy the Hills did really well in ratings & people, ages 12-34, watched the show! Team Lauren the whole way!

Nielsen ratings are based on sample data from roughly five thousand US households- and if you were one of those households, you'd know it since you'd be sent special equipment (a small computer "box") to track what you watch. They use the results of this small group and assume it's a representative sampling of the entire US, extrapolating from there to get the "official" ratings. It's always seemed a little sketchy to me, considering how many billions of advertising dollars are spent based on these results.

But seriously, how completely fake is the whole Heidi and Spencer trouble-in-paradise storyline?? MTV's really trying hard to make those two interesting, and failing miserably.

y'all are just haters... if you really disliked the show that much... you wouldnt waste your time writing an ignorant response to their success.

So, who cares. What's the big deal? Everyone's acting as if this is major news. So what, THEIR OWN EPISODE scored high ratings than any of their other episodes. I can't believe people like to watch such a fake show about rich, superficial girls and guys, who have no jobs, and live off of a reality show.

I always wonder how they do these ratings and call them accurate. I mean I'm sure a lot of people did watch the Hills (I did) but I don't have anything that tracks the shows I watch and neither does anyone else I know. So...it's just kind of a big guess if you ask me. Shows shouldn't be cancelled solely based on ratings for one thing.
