House, 30 Rock Up for Possible Emmys

Emmy nominations won't be announced until July 17, but the award show organizers offered a preview what to expect.

For the first time ever, they announced the finalists for best comedy and drama.

The dramas that made the list: Lost, Boston Legal, House, Grey's Anatomy, Friday Night Lights, Dexter, Mad Men, Damages, The Tudors and The Wire.

Meanwhile, Tina Fey's 30 Rock could face off against The Office, Two and a Half Men, Family Guy, Pushing Daisies, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage, Flight of the Conchords and Weeds.

The show will air live from Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre on September 21.

i've just recently found 'house' and am in absolute awe of hugh laurie. never have i seen such a likeable a**hole before. just waiting for him to come on that screen makes me smile.

I don't have a preference on who wins best comedy and drama, they're all great, even though there are shows mentioned that I don't really watch or just don't watch at all! Anyway, best of luck to all of the stars & their shows that are up for possible Emmys? Also, may the best person & show win when the Emmys air on September 21st live from Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre, etc.

I'd love to see Flight of the Concords nominated....Highlarious!!!

Also 30 Rock was one of the funniest shows this past season.

And obviously The Wire is due for a nomination or two!!!
