The cast of "House M.D."
Nigel Parry/Fox
With Drs Foreman (Omar Epps), Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) and Chase (Jesse Spencer) out the door, Hugh Laurie's Dr. House is in dire need of new underlings to berate. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the poor souls vying for the gig will be played by Olivia Wilde, Kal Penn, Peter Jacobson and Anne Dudek.
Wilde, who recently starred on NBC's The Black Donnellys, will play a doctor named "Thirteen," which should provide House with a multitude of ways to insult her. Penn is best known for his role in Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, while Jacobson and Dudek have largely been seen in guest starring roles on a variety of television shows. All four will play candidates for a fellowship with House when the show returns on September 25.
This flurry of casting begs the question: are Foreman, Cameron and Chase gone for good? We've been holding out hope that their departure was merely a cliffhanger to be resolved quickly at the start of the new season -- after all, Cameron and Chase had a burgeoning on-screen love to match their off-screen engagement.
