Hulk Hogan's son has been transferred out of solitary confinement at a west Florida jail, the Associated Press reports.

Nick Bollea, 17 — who is behind bars for eight months after pleading no contest to causing a crash that critically injured his friend — is now in a communal cell with three other juvenile inmates.

Bollea — who is also suing the sheriff's office for releasing tapes of his jail conversations — was originally segregated from other inmates because he is a minor.

On Tuesday, a judge denied a transfer request from Bollea's lawyers, who claimed the solitary confinement was "cruel and unusual punishment."

A Pinellas County Sheriff's Office rep made no reference to the legal matter when asked about Bollea's move.

The rep said housing assignments are routinely reviewed because the jail's population constantly changes.
