Idol Producer: Simon Cowell "More Ditzy" Than Paula Abdul

 Ray Mickshaw/WireImage.com  Paula Abdul accidentally critiqued two songs by contestant Jason Castro on Tuesday's show, but Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe says the show's real flake is Simon Cowell. "There's no one more ditzy than Simon!" he told Usmagazine.com Thursday at the BAFTA Comedy Awards in L.A. "Or more ass-y than Simon when he wants to be. Depends on the night." Meanwhile, Idol executive producer Cecile Frot-Coutaz says Abdul isn't going anywhere after her on-air "Why would we get rid of Paula?" she said to the Associated Press. "It wasn't her fault" producers decided to change the judging format, Frot-Coutaz added. With Abdul sticking around, that means there will surely be more banter between her and Cowell. "Simon and Paula love each other," Lythgoe told Us. "[This week], for some reason, they hate each other's guts! We don't know why they're as dysfunctional as they are." Paula is actually my favorite judge. This is damage control as anonymous 4:10PM suggested.It shows that the judges have formed their opinions before show night. That being said, America votes on their favorites. The judges are there for entertainment value. Simon is the harsh judge while Paula is the supportive personality. The contestants have alot at stake and need positive feedback. The show is designed to maximize viewers but, real people are involved and Paula keeps that in mind.She is not going away anytime soon.

Everyone makes mistakes, it is the fact that Paula lied about which performer she was talking about and then kept on lying. Paula admit you are a liar, say you are sorry to the public for thinking that we are so stupid that we did not hear you correctly and forgive the guy you told that he "sucked" before he opened his mouth. The judges hear the singers repeat all their songs the day prior the show so Paula would have heard them sing both songs before. An understandable mistake. And if you have spoken in front of a crowd, as I do in my work regularly for small audiences of 75 people or so, your mind just doesn't work as usual.. When you get questioned, words are slower to come, it feels like you don't get as many ideas, and the mind has difficulty staying focused, just because you have 150 eyes looking at you... it's called nerves!

Anyone who watches the show knows Simon is way more "ditzy" than Paula. He's always turning to Paula to ask what's going on because she's the one who actually follows the show. Simon couldn't even remember Jason had performed at all.
