I definately believe jamie lynn is setting a BAD example. yeah, its true many teens are being pressured to become involved physically but there is a word you can use and its called "No". you dont have to say yes everytime. im sure she will love and care for her baby best she can, but think of all the young fans who look up to people like her! When you are a role model for young kids, u gotta watch what u do.

Ya know what people!!! she could have SAID NOTHING, but she took the higher road and giving this child a chance!!!!!!!!!!!! I say good for her. And by the way, birth control does not always work----been married for 20 years and have 5 kids----i was told I couldn't have any!!!!!!!!

Geesh, my little sister is only a year younger then her and she has more common sense. It's obvious that Jamie Lynn got pregnant for attention and to keep her boy friend since they were having problems. Too much kids are being born out of wedlock and now it's ok? Damn, where was that when I was born 19 years ago when my mom had me out of wedlock at age 23? I get shunned while those born within the last year get royal treatment? How's that fair?

i don't think that she's setting a bad example because as long as she takes care of her baby and doesn't end up like her sister (BRITTANY SPEARS) personally i don't have anything against neither of them it's just that brittany is setting a bad wxample only because she is going through crisit,shaving her hair, getting them taken away ,shall i go on.

Hey I see alot of people saying its noone business about Jamie getting pregnate but when she decided to be on TV she made her life peoples business I feel stars should have private lives but it will never happen. But with her being on a show about high school and on disney she should of used protection, were surpose to incourage our kids to go to college and things like that, not show them its OK to be a teen mom, hello its hard enough to be a mom after your in your 20's she's making it look easy because she has money and can pay a nanny to help her, reality girls not everyone can afford a nanny.

So now what? Zoe from Sesame Street gets a pregger bump amd I have to watch it with my 14 month old daughter and explain what pregnancy is! LOL!! They should add to any kids network show contracts that if they are under the age of 18 and is casted on a show with a fan base of 5-16 yrs., if they get pregnant or get someone pregnant, they are automatically terminated!! i am half and half with this cos shes 17 and even whens he was 16 she is still an adult. its her life tho if she wants 2 ruin her teen years by lookin after babies thats her choice i think it wud have been worse if she was 13, 14 or 15 dont u.

I don't think that Jamie is setting a bad example because a teen girl is going to do it not matter what if she wants to. I am 21 and i have three girls. I had twins at the age of 19 and i just had my newborn on May 18. Granted I was all ready living on my own and I was out of shcool when I got pregant but I know lots of girls that have babys at a young age. I tell people that i would rather have then young then wait until ur too old to take care of them. My older sister got pregant when she was a freshman and now she has a good paying job and she got her ged.

I had a baby and i'm only 16 and my daugther is 8 months. i am glad that she had the baby because every one makes mistakes but a baby will make them go away! and that is her personal life and people should not judge anyone on that! im so prond that she did this because it was around the time that i was 6months pergant that she said she was and that made me feel a lot better because i was not the only one going threw with being pergant at a young age because i didn't tell anyone until i was 6 months! i love jamie lynn and think that she did the right thing! and i love my daugther more than anything in the world and would not change anything because it is just the way i want and i love seeing her smiling face when i walk in the room!

I dont think shes setting a bad exmaple because its not her job to sit down and talk to our kids about sex. its the parents job, I got pregnant at 17 and then at 19 though I was married to the father of my kids at 19. but I didn't get pregnant because I seen a celeb pregnant. my mother always taught me to be my own person not a follower and as a parent myself when my son and daughter get old enough I will talk to them alot of parents are afraid of the "talk" but I dont think any parents have the right if their daughter ends up pregnant to blame it on jamie its not her job to watch your child and teach your child the reality of teen pregnancy and not let them keep reading into the hollywood pregnancy of jamie.

It is very sad, the example hollywood is setting these days. Now girls are applauded for being pregnant, it's sad.
On the upside, at least they're not getting abortions. Thank God for that.

I personally dont care wether she has ababy or not. I dont personally think anyone under 18 should have a child.(older would be better but at least at 18 your considered an adult). I just worry about my two younger sisters 12 and 13 who like to watch the show and are upset when they ar told they cant watch it anymore,because JLS is pregnant. I dont think it would matter more if it was a celebrety or not, i think birth control should be mandatory for under 18, and no i dont promote minoprs having sex by giving out BC,i promote safe sex,if they decide to have sex.thats the real issue,no one cans top kids fomr having sex and instead of making it all baout abstinence(which is good) make it about safe sex,then consiquences,and give kids all the information!The one positive thing is at least this is on pregnant teen who wont be on welfare...

there's always something to gripe about. why not just be glad there was no abortion involved, and the child is healthy, and granted the situation is a little extreme given her 17 years, but what's done is done. She's rich and is not glamourizing teen pregnancy. She just didn't give it up for adoption or kill it-- she is being an excellent mom by KEEPING her baby alive and providing a good life.

you know it cracks me up when people say that teens are going to go out and have kids now that she got pregnant and had a baby. Please give teens alittle more credit than that. Teens are going to have sex and are going to continue to have sex whether Jamie had a baby or not. I mean come on. We are blaming the fate of teen pregnancy on celebs now??? Yes i think i'll run out and get pregnant just because she did. That would be so cool. ARE YOU LISTENING TO YOURSELVES? She made a bad choice. However she owned up to and decided to take care of the child. Its better than leaving it in the dumpster like some children do. Someone said she made two million dollars for her story. KUDOS for her. If they want to market me. Give it. I mean if they want to pay her two million dollars to tell her story about being stupid and getting pregnant and a young age. Who are we to judge that. I mean do people tell you that your OVERPAID @ doing your job? I am so sick in tired of hearing how she is ruining little girls and teens with the way she handles herself. THIS is when a Parent steps in turns of the tv and says. Just because she did it doesnt mean its alright for you to do. Talk to your kids. Give them a little more credit than thinking just because a teen celeb got pregnant they are going to go out and do the same thing.

Yes, teenagers get pregnant everyday and no one makes a big deal out of it, BUT, this girl is in the public eye with fans that are little girls and "tweens"--Jaimie Lynn has a responsibility to set a good example because of that--she knows that her fans are very young and with that comes being reponsible! Her MOTHER had the ULTIMATE RESPONSIBILITY and she FAILED her daughter POORLY!Even after she found out she was pregnant, her MOTHER/MANAGER negotiated a magazine cover deal for her--that was "FLAUNTING" Teen Pregnancy and sending out the message that it is OK--HOW WRONG! The media has been showing JAIMIE LYNN and her boyfriend "PLAYING HOUSE", for example-- shopping for furniture, buying a house(I don't know any 17 year olds who own a home), visiting with house designers to decorate the home....and the list goes on. What she should be doing is visiting HIGH SCHOOLS and spreading the word that it was wrong and ways to prevent this from happening instead of glamorizing it!
