Musician Isaac Hayes Dies at 65

 Tom Hill / Wire Image Singer and songwriter Isaac Hayes – best known for his pioneering sound in the 1970s – died in Memphis, TN Sunday, the Associated Press reported. The 65-year-old was found unresponsive near a treadmill at his home by a family member. He was pronounced dead an hour later at Memphis' Baptist East Hospital. The cause of death is unknown. See Us' photo tribute to other stars gone too soon. Hayes – who was to turn 66 on August 20 – is the father of 12 children and the grandfather to 14. He has had four wives. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002 and his new album was scheduled to be released on September 16. Hayes' "Theme From Shaft" won both Academy and Grammy awards. such a sad thing to hear...just right after bernie mac...i think hayes was a phenomenal singer and performer..what a loss for our universe..My son and I made a trip to memphis back in 2003 and ate at the isaac hayes restaraunt...what an amazing place and outrageously great food....we still talk about how wonderful it was...god bless your soul and your family....peace!

I'm so sorry to hear that David Banda's adoptive mother, Asinet Mwale, has passed away Sunday Night, August 10th, and that burial will be today, Monday, August 11! It's nice that Wiseman Zimba, a cousin to David's biological father, helped raised the child! It's a shame that David's real mother, Marita died a week after he was born in September, 2005! It's great that "Mama" helped take care of the baby with the child's father, Yohane Banda, even though they later made the painful decision to surrender David to the Home of Hope Orphanage because the family was too poor to afford to feed him with infant Milk! My thoughts & prayers are with David's family and friends during this very difficult time, etc.

Well I just wanna say to bernie mac family that he's in a better place. And god is looking after him now. Also to isaac hayes family as well. To me, personally I believe that we should all take this time out to tell our loved ones how much we love and adore them. We have 2 great legends who we only knew thru television and media yet we love them dearly. This is telling us so much. Life is too short. Lets tell the people we see everyday how much they mean to us. You know. R.I.P. To 2 wonderful never forgotten men. Luv ya. brothers. Heaven is gone be a funny place with those 2. Keep em laughing!

This is a sad sad day. Isaac Hayes was well known in Memphis...I work as a nurse at the hospital that Mr. Hayes was brought to. Let's just say it will be a solemn day tomorrow (I was off today)...God bless his family...
