I honestly have no idea what to expect out of Jaimie Lynn. Sounds to me like she's grown up a bit from this whole experience already, imagine what raising a baby might do. Who knows, maybe this whole experience will open her eyes and teach her something, God has a plan for everyone, and He loves Jaimie Lynn and that sweet little baby in her tummy, he's not going to let anything bad happen to them, He loves them. Of course, bad things happen in life, but that's just life. I guess, this is sort of a test for Jamie Lynn right now, is she responsible enough to take care of such a blessing and be wise enough to let God guide her? Like I said, we'll all just have to wait and see.
Oh, and by the way, Jaimie Lynn is who she IS, not Britney, who knows, she may turn out to be a GREAT mom:)

everyone needs to leave the poor girl alone, yeah she made a mistake but atleast she is taking responsibility and keeping the child instead of making a mistake and backing out of it by haveing an abortion. She may be too young to be married but atleast her and Casey are making an attempt to give the child a good life, starting with being born with a mom and dad who are married. and i want to applaud Casey for sticking by her side unlike most going to be teenage dads who run off. and honestly their are so many pregnant teenagers in the world, she just happens to be one who is in the spot light so it makes it easier to pick on her and degrade her.give her some credit for making grown up decisions after she made a mistake.

Just because there are many couples who cannot conceive and would love to adopt a baby, doesn't mean that any woman (of any age) should feel pressured to give up her baby for adoption. Lets be real, this isn't your average pregnant teen. She's been starring on a popular Nickelodeon show for years, she's done some guest starring roles, and she's the only sister of one of the biggest pop stars in recent history (albeit a mentally ill one, but an affluent pop star nonetheless). She'll certainly have problems and troubles, because no parent is ever without them despite age or wealth, but I actually think she's got a lot going for her to make her the "exception to the rule" as far as teen mothers go. If she makes a home for her impending family in Kentwood, she'll have her mother there to help, and with their money, they should probably be able to afford a nanny to alleviate some of the burden (not that having a child is a burden, it's just incredibly time consuming as it should be, since they aren't pets). She seems to be taking responsibility, by tending to her medical needs as an expectant mother, settling into finding a place to live near her mom, and she worked to get her GED. It's far from ideal, but give the girl a break. Accidents do happen and there have been teenage pregnancies for far longer than this young woman has even been alive, so lets not act like she's the first person to make a mistake. Anyhow, it's all moot because none of us have to walk in Jamie Lynn's shoes, and until we can we have no right to condemn her for living her life. Good luck to her, she'll need it. As for whether or not she'll be a good mother, only time will tell.

I admire Jamie-Lynn for taking responsibily and handling a difficult situation with such maturity. I hope Casey can take care of her and their child. On another note, I think it's very rudee of her parents just to leave her alone just because her older sister can't take care of herself. Jamie-Lynn is still very young, no matter how mature she seems. She needs family with her too.

How is having the baby "taking responsiblity?" IF she is ready to be a parent, which many, (most?) American teens are not, then good on her. The truth is there are many mature, responsible couples in the world who are ready and willing to provide loving, stable, two parent homes, and one has to wonder if many of the babies born of unplanned teenage pregnancies might not do better with them? Anyone can have a baby, providing a loving, safe, secure home to raise a child in is an EXTREMELY hard thing to do, especially on yr own. Time will tell if she is ready, unfortunately, if she is not, the baby is the one who will lose. Hopefully, that will not be the case.
