My goodness, and this is news worthy because? Let the girl be. No one bothered to take a picture of her before, and now all of a sudden GASP! she's a pregnant 17 year old girl, everyone wants to pay attention to her. Everyone is making a big deal out of this, because she's young and the sister to MORE famous sister Britney Spears. Will people get off their high horse and let people be, and let them live their life they want to. She made a mistake, and she's the only one that has to pay for that. She's not the first at 16 to year pregnant, and she won't be the last. However, I don't understand why she would release the story to a magazine (she did this back in December). Nothing good comes out of the fact when you're airing your dirty laundry. I guess people were going to find out anyway and she needed money.

K-fed should adopt Jamie Lynn's child. That would be a win-win situation. I'm sure he'd let her see the baby anytime she wanted to. And he's the only one in the family with any common sense.

I thought that the only way that the penalty for statutory rape would be imposed was if the parents of the underage party pressed charges (and I say party because I read an article last year about a girl who was a year old than her boyfriend, but he was underage, and when his parents found out they had slept together, they had her arrested). So, Jamie Lynn's boyfriend isn't in jail because Jamie Spears and Lynne Spears haven't pressed charges. I don't see what the point would be. This isn't the case of a girl sneaking out and dating an older boy who ended up getting her pregnant, all the while the parents were unaware. This is a case where the parents knew who her boyfriend was and his age. I don't think that being 16 and 18 sleeping together is that bad (in terms of age difference), and while it's not something anyone should hope for, being pregnant at 17 and engaged to a 19 year old isn't the worst thing in the world. It's not like he's 10 years older. Wasn't Joel Madden like 9 or 10 years older than Hilary when they dated? And they started dating when she was 16 or so. That was a creepy age difference (if she were 20 and he was 29, that would have been okay, but the younger you are, the creepier a big age difference is). When I was in high school, some senior guys dated freshmans and sophomores and no one thought it was disgusting. I think people are focusing too much on the age difference when it's really not that bad. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but Jamie Lynn is entitled to live her life as she sees fit.

WHY ISN'T CASEY ALDRIDGE IN JAIL AND BEING CHARGED AS A SEX OFFENDER... OH WAIT IT'S BECAUSE THE 16 YEAR OLD HE GOT PREGNANT IS FAMOUS THAT MAKES IT OK. THAT IS WHAT OUR SOCIETY HAS COME TO. IF YOUR FAMOUS YOU CAN DO WHAT EVER YOU WANT WITH NO CONSEQUENCES. I THINK THE LAW INFORCEMENT REALLY NEEDS TO LOOK INTO THIS. THIS IS NOT OK EVEN IF THE PARENTS DON'T PRESS CHARGES THE STATE SHOULD THIS IS A CRIME NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE.LAW INFORCEMENT NOT TAKING ANY ACTION IN THIS CASE IS A SHAME. YOU MIGHT AS WELL HAVE IMPREGNATED HER AS WELL BECAUSE YOUR NOT DOING ANY THING ABOUT IT. CASEY ALDRIGE IS A SEX OFFENDER!

I feel sorry for Jamie Lynn, not one family member was with her on her 17th BDay and I think that sucks. At least one of the parents could have been there. The father is there for Brit so why couldnt the mother go to LA to be with her. I think that was very selfish of them all. The girl is having a baby, she is not the first teenager to have a baby and she will not be the last. She needs her mother now more than ever. I know what she is feeling like at this point because I was also preggers at 16 and had my daughter at 17, the only difference is my Mom, God bless her was there for me all the way. I hope Jamie Lynn makes it thru this ok. All of you people seem to forget that Solange Knowles got pregnant when she we 16 or 17 so why all the talk about this child. If truth be told I wonder how many of you writers have gone thru the same thing. So, let us all just pray and hope that this young girl can make it thru without going through what her big sister went thru. I hope she has more support and uses better judgement than her older sister. Jamie Lynn hold your head up and just take care of yourself and your child. Remember they talked about someone more important than anyone on this earth and he took it all, so you stand strong and take it to, they are just words from people that dont have anything better to do than try to hurt someone.

She doesn't deserve any credibility. Yes, it happens and it was unplanned she made her choice. Let's move on. She's not a role model, she's not an icon for the anti-abortionists. She's just an irresponsible teen who made a mistake and unlike most teens in her position, she has the money to support this child without much struggle. So, stop giving her credit and act like she made such a "selfless" decision. Most girls in her position have a hell of a time and any decision they make is going to be difficult. She should not be praised and she should not be photographed. She is not a role model and it would be a shame if some young girl followed in her footsteps simply because they see her getting all this attention from the press.
