I have 2 kids that are 15 months apart, and yes I may be in my 20's but it doesn't make parenting any easier! She has the stress of her sisters situation as well as her moms and her own, she doesnt need close minded snobs calling her a bad mom without even giving her a chance!

I think half of these comments are ridiculous. How do you know she is stupid? Is she guilty by association? O.K. so being pregnant at 16 is not a good thing but at least she is taking responsibility for her actions and not just having an abortion and saying "oops!". How can you possibly judge a person that you do not know? I had to explain this to my two young boys who love her show. I am SURE that none of you have EVER made a mistake. I was pregnant at 17 and unlike Jamie I did not make a lot of money but I am a damn good parent. Some teens have more intelligence than adults. And just because you are an adult doesn't mean that you should be reproducing. (Just because you can doesn't mean you should.) There are so many adults who are unfit parents. Give the girl a break and hopefully, God willing, she will be unlike her sister and her parents.

last time i checked, there was such a thing as a free country, honestly, we all know it's not ideal for a minor to have children but she should be commended for making an adult decision and taking responsibility for her actions. fortunatly for her, her reputation has not been soiled by anything like all the other hollywood "starlets" and their drunken parties all over the world. i personally have not heard the first thing "bad" about her anywhere until now. i'm not even sure that what's happened is a bad thing, some of the best mothers that i know personally started at her age or some younger but they have always put their children first and who's to say she won't? you can say she's raised around this and that but how she was raised is not a reflection of how she will raise her own. sometimes life throws curve balls at you and you can either duck and take the easy way out or you can swing at it and deal with the consequences, reguardless, i believe that she will be just fine. who cares if she's not married, not out of school, etc. she seems like she has a good head on her shoulders and hasn't been too affected by the bad press with the rest of her family. true children are life changing but from a mother, it's worth it so just leave her alone and let her live her life. if it were the 16 year old down the street you would shake your head and move on, no sense in being stuck on Jamie Lynn just because she's in the spotlight.

I respect Jamie Lynn for keeping the child. I believe abortion is murder and should be illegal. While I definitley would not encourage other teenagers to get pregnant, if they do, I would definitley want them to keep the baby even if they have to put the child up for adoption. If I was Jamie Lynn, I would not let my Lynne halp raise the baby for the mere reason of... BRITNEY!! In my opinion, I just say that all girls should get birth control when they turn 16 to prevent pregnancy. Children is not a responsibilty for minors. It should be prevented. I am happy for Jamie Lynn and I hope that she, her boyfriend, and baby-to-come are happy. Also, that Jamie Lynn does not end up like Britney.
